Som FFXIV players feel to entitled! WTF!

Actually becauseof my personally dislike for Eureka that would be the one case where I would support the redirection of resources. Than again it is only my personally view and maybe unfair for people that maybe like it.

I have no Problem with people enjoying Eureka, but what made me dislike it a lot is how the Devs try to force it into the Game.
Potd and HoH were nice Niche Content. They appear a Part of the Community really enjoys it, but nobody feels like they locked tons of stuff behind it...or even the Relic Weapon.
But this is what I really dislike about Eureka. They put in a faster Tomes/Hour Ratio to make the people farm their Stones there instead of doing Dungeons. The same ratio would be fair, to give Players a choice.
They locked several Mounts, Minions, Songs, Hairstyles and the Relic behind all those layers or RNG and Trash Mob Grind.

Eureka is like an example out of a Book for bad Game Design, that heavily uses a Skinner Box to create the Illusion of engagement for the Player.
From my View no Designer should go for such Tools for his/her Game in any way ever.

Oh I totally agree that it si a design error in many ways. On big problem for me that avoids it it kind of always cuts of several people I know. For example it is not possible to do the stuff while you are waiting for a dungeon to begin with.

Yeah, that would feel better. Like you are doing something while being on the World Map, instead of "Start Dutyfinder > Go AFK, till you hear the Sound of the DF".

There are always going to be people that don't get what they want. It's literally impossible to please everyone. As a game dev you listen to community feedback, you take it into account, but you don't impanel the forums as part of the dev team.

Your monthly sub entitles you to access the game. You can give your feedback, you can give your opinions, and the dev team should read them. But they shouldn't be bound by what the forums think.

The money you pay entitles you to play the content they release and if the content they release is not what you wanted or not good, then people who are paying have the right to post about this on the forum. So yes they cant please everyone but that does not mean that these who are not pleased should not post at all. Even if its for something minor that they dont like they can make a thread. Nobody is forced to read or comment them. If a huge amount of threads pop up and many talk about this, then maybe its not a minor thing and should be looked at. Of course that does not mean that SE is bound by this but there is no other way to give your opinion.

Why do you need to know that? They can do what they want. its there game, they own it!

And yet without us this game would not go on. We are supporting this game with our money. Exactly like you have investors that invest in a company but if the company is not doing well or the investor does not like the way its going, they will go and put their money somewhere else. So they of course can do what they want, but they still need the players behind that to finance them.

Ok.. hold on. Something really needs to be addressed. SE can do what they want as a company, they are making the game and expansions. What you're not realizing is that we are buying their products (and paying monthly subscriptions). At the end of the day we are allowed and entitled to voice are displeasure with a product. We are allowed to give feedback on anything and everything that they give to us because we are paying them.

I'm glad that you found so much enjoyment in the fanfest, congrats to you. But
don't try and act like the community is wrong for expressing how they feel when the mass majority wanted male and female viera. And honestly its not surprising that people were going to backlash at the fanfest. The mass majority of players wanted Viera, the mass majority of people don't like gender locked races. All they had to do was give the community Non-gender locked bunnies and a new healer. This will be the second expansion without a new healer.

Woah hold on there... you're definitely entitled to voice your own opinions and your own feedback, but please don't presume to speak for some kind of majority. No polling has been done on this. There's no data that suggests this majority you're attempting to invoke exists or not. There's forum chatter sure, but the forums make up a tiny percentage of the overall population. The only majority the forum population represents is "people who signed up for the forums."

Presuming to speak for a majority where:
A: None exists and
B: You haven't been elected to do so
...
is a classic logical fallacy (appeal to majority). You feel the way you feel and that's perfectly valid. But don't presume to speak for others.

What I find absolutely ridiculous though is the people screaming about homophobia/sexism and equality. That's just a pathetic way to try and get what you want and its pretty shameful to bring a community that has genuine issues to deal with and slap on a fantasy race in a fantasy game not giving you the exact cosmetics you want as a problem.

We get it you wanted to play a male veira, but you can't so if that affects your levels of fun in FF then fine unsubscribe, but don't turn it into some sort of human rights/social issue.

I 100% disagree. The devs are entitled if they think that healers are going to give them money for this expac when they can't even be bothered to acknowledge our existence.

It's the amount of reaching that is really harming the argument they are posing and they are not realizing it. I think everyone was disappointed that there's no male bunny boy and everyone has the right to speak their mind, but reaching of this level will make anyone reading this feedback roll their eyes and just ignore it for it's just surreal.
