Som FFXIV players feel to entitled! WTF!

Hi everyone.

So last night when i was finish watching the Fan fest, i was 200% hyped for the exp and damn i cant wait.

But this morning i read all the bad forum posts,comments and so on.

By people crying about not getting male or female. they feel entitled ! THEY NEED IT!

We knew that the bunny race had a chance they would be female only, so some wish for them to be male as well. Some of the frist things i see, is people brining real life stuff into this like beeing gay and so on, feel like the game is spitting on them.

Listen here. 90% of the play able races are feminine!.

The FFXIV devs, sounds and prove time and time agian that they make this game for the players and listen to the communitys on the good ideers !.

You are just lucky you have a dev team like this. Look at Wow, they dont listen to there community, and the game i trash, many of there subs are trying to find an new mmo, alot of them are even comming over here.

Stop crying, and just be happy that you have a nice team behind you that cares!

Yeah the community reaction has been disappointing to say the least.

SE hasn't done anything objectionable here. The only thing they did? The heinous crime they committed? Not fulfilling the wishes of the forum. Boo... hoo... SE didn't meet the obligation they didn't have to do what you wanted them to do a year before they knew you wanted them to do it.

How about instead of throwing a tantrum just because SE didn't live up to your dreams you wait and see what they've got in store. Let's see what they show us. Is Shadowbringers good? Are the new jobs done well? Are the new systems interesting? We don't know any of those things. We know we're not getting playable male bunny people, but maybe the expansion isn't literally unplayable.

If that's how you want to read that, ok. I don't agree.

Just because there's no new healer job doesn't mean SE hates healers, it just means there's no new healer job in this expansion. Gunbreaker being a tank doesn't mean SE hates healers and loves tanks. It means they're releasing a tank job. Trying to ascribe personal motivations to the dev cycle is irrational at best.

Did I expect the second job to be a healer based on previous patterns? Yes I did. I was wrong too. Dancer is a dps. Ok that's interesting, let's see if it's good.

Do you think they're going to just leave the 3 current healer jobs as they are? Do you think they're going to delete WHM? I don't. I think the existing healer jobs will see updates and improvements just like all the other jobs will.

Another way to look at this is: I don't think SE making dancer a ranged job means SE hates melee.

Honestly healers got lucky, waiting to see the shit show know as their second combat revamp notes in a few months to see just how screwed up things will be. Honestly healer geomancer may be a massive expansion long tease given the raid, to then gauge interest, but then that becomes a question of, how do you have this next healer heal your hp? health pools on the ground? slamming the hammer around willing nilly into craked earth to get some PBAOE healing geyser? And what buffs that can be done that don't already fall into the others territory?

If anything it will have be some something very VERY creative and catchy to keep players from saying, "But the other healers do the same thing." Which Class Identity is an issue that plagues this game like no tomorrow for some classes.

As of right now, imma just point to the current meta, and ask you just what do you see being dominate, and what would you at least hope Dancer can do to break the monotony up.

And Seeing Dancer is not out yet, and we still have a combat revamp to go through. Brd can easily have some debuffs swapped and be pure magic debuff, and Dancer can easily become the physical debuffer.
AST, not touching that one.

they didnt screw over healers. its just not time for a new one until they can make them work better. also dps or no we desperately need more range classes too because like you, some people like range only so they also need options. maybe next xp when they feel they have a stronger battle system, they can add a new healer then.

If you didn't like your range job you already had 4 different ones you could change to. That's more than all the healing jobs

The issue is that this was the exact reason they gave for no healers or tanks in Stormblood. This is now going to be 2 expansions of fixing the issues from Heavensward. It's beyond a joke right now.
