Which JP DC are you talking about?

Currently in MANA DC, in prime time, half of the portal gets taken by people using the stabilizer.
The other half may be camped by 1, or at most 2 people, who are in the "will go in if available, but not that desperate" mindset.
BA or Assist FATE hardly ever gets sabotaged. In fact, people in the BA gets thanked for triggering the FATE (30 crystals!), and people in the BA thank those who participated in the FATE.
The only times Assist FATE fails nowadays are when the system closes the instance to new player entry and there are just too few people with the right logos.

Discord groups have never laid full claim to portals in JP DCs as it would have been quickly bashed from the pug population (which there is a healthy number of).
The only issue JP DCs had was fairness in the claim to the portal (so no one would leave the FATE in the middle to go claim a portal), which resulted in the last hot fix.
I'm sure fully organized discord groups would be more efficient, but the BA dungeon is not that difficult.
It was, I do believe, meant for a ichi-go ichi-e (once in a life time meeting) party to tackle with all the inconvenience it entails and people were to use the logos to overcome that.
There's always few people who watch the short movie outside Ozma for the first time but still the dungeon is won once in a while.
Even if the battle is lost, it's usually a fun experience and people just go off to the bunnies or the sprites without much complaint.

I always wonder why the NA/EU discord group tries to go in with 56 full members to an instance. Can't you go in with less and let pugs have a seat too?
