Gender locked race?

This is the same as how Stormblood was though, preorders went up in Jan and the last Fanfest was in Feb... It doesn't seem odd at all.

I thought we had more information by the time Stormblood went up, I thought we had already had the job revels by that point.

Nope. Samurai was revealed in Feb. I don't remember all of what was revealed specifically in the last Fanfest but the way they're going about it is strikingly similar to the last expansion. The difference is that this time we have a new race. It's really not hard to look up when things happened before posting misinformation.

Shrug, I felt I knew more with Stormblood than I do Shadowbringers, which is why I pre-ordered Stormblood early and haven't pre-ordered Shadowbringers yet. Maybe that was just Stormblood actually teasing stuff I was interested in.

Roe is big and bulky yes, that doesn't mean they are a joke.
Do you think Roe is disproportionate? then what about Lalafell, Elezen, and even Au Ra?
Even if they are, just because a race is not conventionally proportionate doesn't mean that they are a joke.

The problem is, for Au Ra female/male we had at least artworks (even if they differ by a lot from it). But Hrothgar are just a mystery to us. I blame SE for not being informative on this. It does build hype, but it can turn into something really bad within seconds. Once people realize Hrothgar are totally not their type, its gonna cause massive disappointment. Even more if they're going to be our male Viera substitute.

I don't think SE expected the Hrothgar name to be leaked through game glitch tho.

As for Roe's being 'jokes' eh - not so sure about that, but two of the walking joke characters were male Roe. The first one who was pretending to be part of the crew that felled Titan. Another who was an 'imperial' who kept blurting out 'It's like all my namesdays came at once!' and kept getting his bootie kicked every time. I guess the Roe brothers in warrior quest are also 'semi-jokes' one less than the other - mostly due to their names that are linked into 'Brokeback Mountain' and 'Curious George'. Shrug.

you then have Hoary and Ochre Boulder i like them but their names are questionable at times, you also have male roe animations on emotes they have the most what i call wacky emotes that are way more played down on every other race/gender combo, i think the whole roe are 'jokes' is down to how SE handles them and when SE wants them to be more comical they go with the whole make the Big Burly guy dress as weird as possible

lol so just because a couple of male roe npcs have unusual/referential names or funny emotes then male roe as a race is a joke?

then i guess all of the ffxiv races are a joke because all of those things can be applied to the other races as well.

burly guy with funny emote and dress funny sometimes? hmm... that remind me of someone... whose name start with H... i wonder what race he is....
