Gender locked race?

I want something between Au Ra and Highlander: buff, but with a slightly slimmer waist. Preferably with ear choices and length sliders cause I hate how horns are locked both to face and a fixed size

YES! I want them to be built for agility without compromising upper body and leg strenght, so a little like Au Ra proportions without the whole horns/ears being tied to faces ruining my day.

This is a thread discussing gender locked races, Hrothgar is sadly viewed as one of them due to the leaks - I don't see why it shouldn't be discussed here.

He's obviously just someone who doesn't want opposing viewpoints voiced. I called him out on ridiculous behavior and now he's saying I'm only being negative. It's fine, he won't deter me from looking at forums while gathering. Also, on the genderlocking issue, am I the only one who would be really interested in a female lioness type deal? Like come on, that'd be BA. All you guys who currently play f miqo could have a strong prideful race that isn't as "pandering" since people were hating on Viera lol.

I mean, to be frank - someone wanting Hrothgar is obviously going to be in the same boat. I can understand the want for Hrothgar, but I'd be extremely saddened by what they would represent.

Best of both worlds, as people have stated before would be to have both races without a gender-lock slapped on them. The sad fact is that someone who wants male Hrothgar is saddled into the corner where they're viewed as wanting a genderlock - because there are only two ways it can go. Hrothgar is the male option and is genderlocked or no genderlocks. It shouldn't mean that those of us should who want male Viera should start screeching because someone else wants Hrothgar - blame SE for this, not them. Or, wait for the live letter and we can see if we really need to start writing our desires for genderlocks to be lifted.

People are allowed to like what they want. I only wrinkle my -hopefully male bunny- nose when someone comes into the thread and just goes 'hurr hurr, I hope they're gender locked because f you guys.'

Yea, that is my biggest issue with the whole thing. There isn't anything wrong with a race like the Hrothgar at all. I welcome it, I might even end up liking it more than Viera depending on how it looks, but the way they seem to be setting up to unveil them isn't going to go over well. It just feels like a bait and switch since people were already expecting male Viera. So now Hrothgar are going to get a bad rep from the get go (assuming they go with a genderlocked route).


Basically, I predict it being a big ol' mess. If people were booing for the blue mage reveal, I doubt this is going to go over well at all. I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

This thread could have definitely become something way more positive than what you and the rest of your crowd came and did to it. There are a lot of theories and lore speculation in the earlier posts and then at some point a few toxic bara cat lovers came in and took the conversation in an entirely different direction. If you don't want male Viera go post on the Hrothgar thread. You are not contributing anything positive or of substance here except your negativity.

ok this thread is positive just by existing its positive because it shows there is concern in the community about gender locking races rather than just accepting it we are talking about it, now the forum top that this thread resides is general discussion pure positive eventually becomes an echo chamber and that is not healthy, people have different opinions and concerns and are allowed to share them if they conflict this is where discussions happen and can be good or bad depending on the individuals involved but they are healthier than pure echo chambers. This thread wouldn't be nearly as big without different views on the matter throughout this thread there has been people too positive, people too negative and people too aggressive people do need to be reigned in at times when they go too far in any direction but no voice should be snuffed out or told to go away its an open forum after all and they have a right to voice it as much as you have a right to criticize it within reason

Look at my post history, I've explained what I'm posting to. Did you post that you want male Viera and stop? No? Thought so. Why should I not post rebuttals to people who are saying ridiculous things if I want the opposite? You are literally advocating for an echo chamber. This thread was never about theories or fan art lol. It was about whether they were going to genderlock Viera, and I've been posting about how likely/unlikely that is for the most part.
