Gender locked race?

He never needed to make a male. In FF12 they had Fran in the party who was the sister of the Matriarch. They don't attack other Viera leaving or coming, they just ignore them and refuse them access to the village unless there are special reasons to give them access. Example; Fran was barred access from going into the Eruyt Village.
As for tactics; same reasoning. Never needed a male and from a developer standpoint - why add a male who didn't need to be added and waste resources?

The only issue with this game is that the story does sort of call for one - and if not then it calls for one heck of a good explanation and amazing story to explain why they're not where they're supposed to be without making it look half-arsed.
In the end, I will never understand why devs create a race where male and females exist but don't care about one side of the population. Like, if you didn't care for them or want them then why add them in the first place! This is the world of fantasy! Just have them reproduce asexually!

I mean they did have a village in FF Tactics, and you have Eruyt in FFXII, both of which you can go inside.. and even though they're a village they're full of females (I said men before I edited, my bad lol). Meanwhile in the forests there are none. I believe in the tactics manual you get with the game it says they're female only lol, although we should get a giant truck of salt for early day Japanese to English stuff.. since we've gone a long way in terms of quality and quality control for consistency. Like how the Galka were for a while, to the English community, known as genderless (but are actually male).

I think a sexless race could be interesting, perhaps working with visuals of Genome FFIX Kuja/Zidane or some sort of Esper like race (Terra Branford's magical side). If a race has a gender though I do think it's weird to lock out one gender, it's something I can live with but I can get people being frustrated over it (which is why I've never used it to tell people to calm down when they're worried if it would be lol, I could be okay with it but I can understand others not being okay with it).

Then the two sub races would be present in the trailer (there are dark Vieras and pale Vieras in it), which is possible but would be disapointing IMO

That would sound accurate and I'd also be in agreement it'd be a bit sad to have it just be colors lol. Even if its not how I want (the sub race) I like the clans to be different because it's cool. Also consider if the bar for height has enough leeway you might be able to make it happen without it being a sub race option~
