Could always make the next relic follow the relic process in FFXI. You know... where like 99.9% of the playerbase didn't even get past step 1 because they couldn't afford the ancient currency... >.>

So much salt back then when people discovered I had completed multiple relics along with some mythics…

All I have to say about that is there is a reason my HNM LS kept their own tracker and didn't bother with any of the public ones. Additionally staying ahead of the curve for various other gil making schemes helped as well along with being about to do things like solo most of the NM's in places like sky just to sell off spawn items to end game LS'es was a bit lucrative as well.

Actually now that I've said all that I wouldn't mind it here. I feel like this game actually lacks gil sinks to pull gil out of circulation. We need more expensive things to feed to NPC's! :P

That was absolutely one of the worst things about FFXI. I'd rather not have things like needing 1mil gil to buy an item just to Dynamis or in ffxiv's case, Eureka. I also hated the fact that because it cost 1mil gil to go to Dynamis you were not allowed to roll on the currency because the Dynamis Linkshell you went with sold the currency to pay to go to Dynamis thus only allowing rich players and Gil Buys the ability to have a relic.
