Gender locked race?

If it's the other theory, that we're going to get another race that's male only... Can it be anything other than Garlean?

Garleans make no sense as a player race. Lore-wise, they're defined by their inability to use aether... Which is something literally every job in the game needs to do to function. Practically speaking, they don't really have a unique character model, either. Garlean NPCs always use other races bodies (like Elezen) with unique heads, or a 100% character-unique model.
