What you're trying to gloss over is that it's a parse from 18 months ago when content was new and players had gear with much lower ilvls than they do now.

Of course those parses show as grey now when people have been continuing to clear the content for the last 18 months with increasingly better gear. But if you had looked at that parse back when it was first posted, I'm willing to bet it wasn't a grey at all.

It's got nothing to do with the information being inaccurate and everything to do with it being data from when players didn't have the gear they have now.

Also people asked to show a full grey group clearing current content. It was uloaded and shows its grey parse of 4% for the entire group at that exact time. They cleared the boss when he was current. I randomly looked at a random person by typing in a few letters. I can go on and on and find more but ill leave that up to everyone else. Point is, every fight can be cleared with a grey group, has been also, which means all rankings to be are pointless.

You're going to want to remove those links. GMs might be allowing the topic to stay up, but linking to actual numbers won't go well.

Thank you for that, I just removed it. I do not want to break any rules or anyting. At least I proved clearing current content with a full grey group is normal and possible.

I have been told that is how it works, which again means that the numbers are inaccurate/padded/cherry picked and inflates the overall required numbers to a high degree. Which isnt needed to clear a fight, which in turn makes anyone who is parsing grey/green just as capable as an orange cherry picked person.

I mean of course they are padded and not accurate ANYMORE. People have like 80 more average iLvls compared to then.
If you can find a O12S (which has min iLvl 380 IIRC) parse with only grey parses you might have a point but otherwise...

But parser does not send only your logs to the fflogs, its sending the whole group logs and their performance as well.
The numbers cannot be inflated that much if there is at least one guy who sends the logs to the server, when doing it he also upload logs of those who under-performed. Some people upload the logs for the sake of doing so, or to give underperforming people a bad rep on fflogs.

Also the numbers could not be that inflated because Parser is saving logs from many duties you run into one file, its saving the bad and the good ones into one and then you upload this file to the fflogs which analyse the data given from all duties you do.

Are you actually looking at the Rankings tab, or the numbers within the log? Those are compared to other uploads, so the more uploads there are, the more they will change. I pulled up my very first clear of Susano - all grays, one green within the log, but the Rankings tab has 1 purple, 2 blues. That gives you a closer idea of what the values were on the day they were uploaded. The ones within the parse change over time with more uploads to compare them to.

Rankings tab for Savage have "Today" and "Historical" tabs. So you can really see what the percentile is for old parses today compared to what they were at the time of upload. My first Chaos clear is all grays today, but that wasn't the case when we uploaded it Week 1.

EDIT: Friend of mine still had the link open and linked it to me. As I thought, you’re looking at the Damage Done tab numbers. Those are compared against numbers from the past 2 weeks—meaning, it’s comparing numbers uploaded in Patch 4.0 with ~290/300 gear to numbers uploaded within the past two weeks in ~380/390/400 gear. Of course, they’re going to be all gray.

Go into the Rankings tab and click on the Historical Tab. That gives you a much better idea of what the numbers were like back on the day it was posted.

Hyo is right. You can look at an old orange log but as soon as you pull up the full log the % shown is only relative to uploads from the last 2 weeks, so most all will be gray or at best green.

I've got something that may be a better indicator but need a minute.

I removed the link. It took me 5 minutes to find a random all grey parse fight. Im sure others can do the same.
