Kinda off-topic question, does fflogs parse % count multiple parses on the same player? Like if one person parse orange like a million times on a single fight, do they "hog" all the positions for orange parses?
I'm just asking because I'm worried that if all the top parses are just from people that has low latency and statics, like they are just uploading heaps of logs with optimal group coordination and team comp and raising the overall damage numbers stored in fflogs. Then players that never parses, come in with over 50ms Ping (no double weaves) in PF groups that don't have all the support buffs will be disadvantaged because they'll be parsed by randoms and uploaded with a low percentile.
I'm a console pleb so I'm blind as a not thanks YoshiPPPPPPPPP.
You're good at the game? You're an elitist.
You're using a parser to better yourself? Elitist.
You're making suggestions on how someone can improve themselves? E l i t i s t.
You wipe a farm party constantly but you're having fun playing your way. Nah you're fine dude.
This community astounds me at times.
Yes, but you also have to take into account runs with pugs where one person will upload and there will be members that were dead for long periods. Those will bump up lower percentiles. Skewed percentiles would be a problem if the skill of the average player was high, but it ain't, so it's not.
You dont need account with fflogs to hide your logs. 1. Go to the lodestone 2. Go to character profile and add FFlogs-hidden, save your profile. Done FFlogs will no longer show your logs after it updates.
Note: Taking advice from a players alt, is like taking advice from a voice in a dark room. Criticism is a two way street remember that!!
The unfortunate thing is that hiding your logs tends to make people way more dubious of you then showing them.
I'd also prefer to hide my logs for personal reasons (My DPS is above average last I checked), but people were refusing to allow me into Deltascape savage groups on multiple occasions unless I unhid them.
Ahh that makes sense, but isn't the skill of the average player high IN fflogs? Is it okay to assume that people that have higher skill is more likely to upload to fflog?Yes, but you also have to take into account runs with pugs where one person will upload and there will be members that were dead for long periods. Those will bump up lower percentiles. Skewed percentiles would be a problem if the skill of the average player was high, but it ain't, so it's not.
Actually scratch that I meant to ask, isn't it more likely that fflogs contains on average players with higher skill than all the players that don't upload but still play the same savage/ex content?

Can we check to see if logs has been uploaded with out character performance in it without our knowledge? Not sure if I asked that question correctly, just genuinely curious as I'd like too see if my character was passed without my knowing and it would be good too see my numbers at least. Not trying to inflame the conversation more, just want some clarity.
All you have to do is go to the website and start typing your name in. You'll be able to satisfy your curiosity that way. And yes, you have some nice logs there. Can we check to see if logs has been uploaded with out character performance in it without our knowledge? The Balance isn't elitist lmao
