seconded, we all saw how ff XI "inspired" Eureka turned out, and I don't know what to think of the future Trust system. XI's style is obsolete and the devs should let it stay in FF XI
Pagos has received a lot of nerfs but is still the worst most grindy part, Pyros is faster to level it has 2 big problems Mob density and rng on top of rng you can mitigate this to just 1 layer of rng if willing to spend gil for it fortunately if only after the weapon glam then you only need 30/50 abilities which can be done while leveling if plan sprite kills appropriately
If anything, ffxi’s BLU would be a vast improvement over the sad excuse of a BLU that was called “overpowered”:
- It was a full job with many different abilities, the combination of which would give you different buffs to suit different roles the BLU could embody.
- It had status effects that eventually built up resistances, but you could break through said resistances as well, applying the status effect again.
- It had a job trainer that had edge enough to cut a Lalafell, wanting you to awaken the beast within.
- it used swords(scimitars were the signiture weapon)and could melee as well as cast.

That's odd, because every time I went into Eureka, the place was packed.
sToP bEing like FFXI!!
Without FFXI, we wouldn't have the FFXIV races ( except the Au'ra) which they are heavily inspired by FFXI itself.
And also leveling in FFXI is also very easy now
I would actually love to see more FFXI stuff in FFXIV like a more dangerous overworld and explorable duegons.
Can't speak on BLU since I never played the job in FFXI , but not upset because it's limited
Also my Mithra says hi

Completely disagree.
If those aspects of XI are popular, then they have every reason to 'port' them into FFXIV, and if they're purely in there as side content, not affecting the main game at all, then that's all the better.
The game is big enough that you don't have to do everything it has available, and player choice is paramount.
*grabs popcorn*
This is going to be a productive thread yep!
I want exact same controls from FFXI in this game, imagine the amount of people pissed off by it. xD
