BLU and EX Primal Spells

Is it so bad to have not all the skills for the Blue Mage after the 4th day of release? People often complain that there is nothing to do in this game

I'd done Enki and Gil with a friend yesterday for Missile. He got it after the 4th run, I got it after the 13th...

Problem is RNG never feels like progress, I spent 8 hours farming and have two of the primal spells. About 150 runs, I'd have been fine filling an exp bar that took 100 runs at least I'd feel like every run was progress rather than blind dread.
