You guys gotta suck it up a bit. So many people are afraid to do Extreme, when it's braindead easy by this point. Make groups of 4 lv70's and 4 blu's, switch when you get it. You're not going to be doing it that much faster by doing Hard, and the chance you'll get the ability is so much greater (well worth the time invested, saving loads of time).

If no one in your group is owning up to going lv70, then do it yourself. Show the group that someone among them is willing to carry, and you're likely to get one or two others to volunteer without even asking. It's possible you'll get an asshole that will ditch once they get it, but by far and large you're surrounded by decent people who will return the favor.

You're looking at spending an hour like this. Two hours or so if you're unlucky. Less than an hour with moderate luck. It's much better than spending the 6 hours you'd do with other plans.

I'd done Enki and Gil with a friend yesterday for Missile. He got it after the 4th run, I got it after the 13th...
Problem is RNG never feels like progress, I spent 8 hours farming and have two of the primal spells. About 150 runs, I'd have been fine filling an exp bar that took 100 runs at least I'd feel like every run was progress rather than blind dread.

That's just luck on your end. I'm seven hours into my Glass Dance after I got my friend's his the first run in. RNG is RNG and sometimes RNG will screw you over.

(Casually remembers it's been 400 runs of Skalla and I've never seen the aiming top.)

I think that as long as you have BLU unlocked and there is at least one BLU in the party you should be able to learn the spell no matter what job you're on.

I'd say as egis, for lore flavor, since Summoners and Blue Mages both operate on the concept of using the aether they've been exposed to to create something. Blue Mages just decide to create fish.

It's stupid that BLUs have to beg other jobs for help to learn their skills.

yes this, I think that is the way they should go in how to learn these spells.

It’s just the design flaw of ok we have this limited job, that isn’t designed for the traditional party comp, then they think ok let’s make the blue mages who are a limited job have to use NON-limited job trials to get their skills...

And since you can’t exactly plop down primals into the open world, it makes the most sense to have blue mages learn these primal skills from blue mage specific content aka masked carnival fights based on the primals most likely some egi-version. They could be hard fights that you need to use your wits, skill and solve some blue mage puzzles. Completing them would get you the spell, that would lead to feelings of accomplishment and generally just fun. Like I see people with these primal spells and I’m just like yea, 90% of your just got lucky and sat afk for hours while other people farmed it for you, then 50% of you actually stayed to help someone else get it. It’s just not cool. But if it’s from a solo hard fight, you can be like wow nice that person cleared that cool fight on their own accord and skill, that’s coooooool

it is really weird that the roe playing the villan Almalgia uses 3 primal abilities in a cs but not in the fight they had a way but decide nah just leave it in trials

This is why I prefer EX. At least you get loot for your troubles, and the chance of ponies and awesome looking weapons.

All of these problems can be alliveated if the dev. team would give us a proper drop rate instead of what appears to be less than 1% learn rate just to keep us around longer.

I formally request the learn rate for the primal spells to increase, there is a lot of things to do in this game, having to spend most of your time farming a singular piece of content is an insult to our time.
