The leaks did say there's another race to be added and hinted to it being lion like. So it could be a Ronso or a Moomba.

I want Moombas as a beast tribe so bad. FF8 was my first FF game.

i'm kind of thinking that if we do get new races it might be every odd number expansion 3.x 5.x maybe 7.x for the next one?

though in honesty i would love a small anthromaporphic race, hell one based off moogles of ivalece would be cool or humming way, or ff9 burmecians.

I don't know why people think Feol Viera are so small they'd be considered a short race like lalafell or moogle. It really annoys me. The only thing about them that is mentioned to be shorter than the average viera is their ears. Their sprites in revenant wings are the same size as other viera, and smaller short races like the Moogles from Ivalice and Cait/Cu Sith have clearly smaller sprites.

Viera have never been tiny/short other than younger viera and even they are still taller than a shorter Hume like Vaan/Penelo.

I'm fine if they make another short race, but it reaaaaally bothers me that people are trying to pinhole viera into short.

And honestly I think this is a little skewed too.

Male Au Ra, Femroe and Male Roe I'd consider the tallest of the tall, the rest I would consider average.

It's silly to say race diversity is on the line. More people will want to play average height characters than anything, and I imagine Fran will mark the taller side of Viera, my Femroe is still a full head taller than her.

Viera will probably range from Midlander to Elezen heights.

They mentioned there will be Dwarves in the 5.0 areas, I'm intrigued by how they're gonna do that cause I've always imagined Lala to be the dwarfs of Hydaelyn.

I really really hope not. In fact, even if FF did incorporate Dwarves, it wouldn't be at all like what western gamers are accustomed to. The only time they've ever appeared in FF lore, they looked like this.

IMO that only fits as a background race like the Bangaa, Amal'jaa, etc. FF does not do dwarves of Moria type BS.

I would totally be ok with that type of dwarf... Though I don't think facial hair on a lady is a FF world thing. They're adorable!!!

I've loved Viera since FFTA, I got it when it was released, and so seeing people try to make them into those tiny bunny folk... Like no! Imagine taking Roegadyn and putting them in another game and making them small. OR BETTER YET. Taking Lala and making them huge.

If they're gonna make a small race, it should be a small race from another game (another ff perferedly) or something special for XIV.

If we were getting another small race something like a dwarf would be preferable, in my opinion. Not super cutesy like lala.
