I'm still on the fence about whether it's a bad or good idea. However, I certainly think the amount of Guardian Trees is way too much.

Places where there are like 3+ trees in 1 yalm, they could've easily just done w/ 1 tree.

Regardless of whether you get aggro by 1 or 9999 trees, you're still going to die the same speed. No need for so many trees.

    Thats not forums feedback.

If we want to hear alot of whinny complainers gripe about how they want this, then when you give it to them, hear them gripe that they want it the other way, then we will all get married.
Then you have people such as yourself who can only try to berate other's opinions instead of creating said feedback.
    Hypocrite.

Did you really think you could sneak saying yalm in there without us noticing.

    Yalm
(n.) An Eorzean unit of measurement, similar to a yard. 100 Yalms is 1 "Unit" on in-game Maps.

    What's the problem?

When you completed the chocobo quest in FFXI, it was hitting a milestone. Buying a license with GC seals didn't feel rewarding at all. Sweet, I have a chocobo now, but there wasn't any sense of accomplishment.
So it's only an accomplishment if someone steps in to keep you from ruining it yourself?

Sorry, Nep. I don't understand your point. There should be content for every rank. What's the point of creating those ranks if players can just blow through them? They have no significance. Beside the timesink the gausbit grass imposed, it showed you bonding with the chocobo over time; there was the quest that went along with the reward. FFXIV's lore stated that there was a sickness among chocobos, and there could have been an interesting quest revolving around that, but nope, it was just, "chocobos are all better, here you go."

    This is sooooooo weird.

They expect that ppl pay to play a time sinking game?
I actually had alot of fun collecting the items from the NM's. I like that SE can make playstyle vary in certain quests, yes i agree the system still needs improvement, but its a great thing overall. The highlight of it all was that the parties helped each other obtain the items.

It's not the fact that getting the key items each time is easy or hard, it's the fact that it's extremely tedious and not fun. Sure getting Inferno tapers wasn't fun, but it wasn't nearly as tedious and annoying, and that made it bearable. This one aspect of the patch/moogle access will be a huge problem. I absolutely believe a large amount of people will not subscribe due to this gimmick.

The logic behind this decision just doesn't make sense. I understand that there needs to be content each patch to keep players occupied until the next one. The moogle fight itself is pretty fun, but the prerequisite is absolutely ridiculous.
