It's no problem honestly, you get the key items, turn them into the charm or whatever, and fight the King all in the same area. It's extremely local. 15mins till you can re-enter after you win. So in that time you turn in the completed quest, pick up a new one, kill the 5 NM's and then get to the Atheryte. Beats waiting around.

Would be a problem if the spawn rates weren't incredibly fast. But they are.

The NM's do spawn fast, but that's not the time sink part. They are very easy to kill... its the whole walking everywhere, while avoiding getting aggro and linking tree's that is lame.

We could really use that update to the link system where mobs only call the same type.

There are actually several NM's of each type of. Atleast i know of 2 hog's and 2 monkeys. And they respawn super super fast.
