just another person who has failed to answer my very simple question i've posted a couple times now =/

In game right now, there are people wearing a crown for achieving something after already killing 100,000 mobs.

now, did.......they....earn..... it?

don't even try to talk to such ppl, it's just useless i noticed.
even my previous melding recordes have been saved, that's another achievement that can be re-unlocked about anytime i want.

it's as simple as it gets. SE hasn't recorded our crafting, but everything else, like nms, mobs killed, etc did get recorded.

ppl talking about free handouts here and shit, are either those that never really achieved something in this game by putting an effort into it or are just blindly following the rest of the arguments that are against it.

it's just plain ignorance saying we didn't even get a chance at reciving a reward for all the work we put into our DoL/DoH classes thrughout the past year, grinding even when fatigue was aleady a pain to reach the next lvl.

yet new players will get their 50's twice as fast as most did, and on the end of the road they even get a reward for doing what we did 8 months ago.

why should i repeat what i have done before?
the road was hard so far, but in the end we got nothing but a lvl 50 class after all.

this is not about some crappy golden items anymore, i just feel like i got stabbed in the back by SE, yet they were oh-so-thankful to us the loyal players sticking around so far.
yea, we get to redo all the crap we did, while others don't, way to say thank you.

so far i didn't think about it, but ever since patch 1.20 i'm really thinking about not actually paying for this game untill it's in a state that i can actually play and enjoy it.
it probably would be more enjoying anyways if i could achieve my goals in a working game, where i don't have to repeat myself every patch.

this is the first time ever since freaking alpha that i'm really really disappointed by this game.

I personally know some of these crafters as they are on my server. I have helped them gather mats, cheered them on, watched them blow stuff up, and +3 items. I've seen them rank their first level 50 craft or DOL back in the days of fatigue...when they were only getting a fraction of the exp they deserved per chop or synth. They are not botters or lazy. And they work VERY hard to achieve their goals.

I was the 2nd person on rabanastre to hit 50 fishing, and i worked my butt off with fatigue and crappy SP way before all the newer changes!

You don't automatically get a golden fishing rod, Whoopie~ I can guarantee I'd have all the Botany pre-reqs as well with my 43 Botanist (Did this long before any SP changes) am I sad that I don't get the achievments? No.

People need to stop with the massive Hyperbole about "We earned our 50's before it was cool to be 50!" I feel everyone should earn their levels but I don't think anyone should feel they are entitled to something just because they did it first. SE didn't record our crafting, if they did we would have auto unlocked it...but they didn't.

I don't see what people are trying to do here, it's not like SE is going to say "Well just because you fell you deserved that new alembic we are going to just give every rank 50 crafter the tool" We are still playing during the rebuild of the original tear down, stuff like this is bound to happen. Crying over it is just stupid.

I asked if you wanted SE to hand you your golden fishing rod or not. What do you expect them to do or are you just complaining to complain? It's obvious they didn't keep track of that character data prior to the new achievment system unlike battle and other character statistics.

It would be another issue if there was something that SE could actually do about it, but they can't. Being all emo about it wont get you anywhere either chop some more wood/fish/rocks or get crafting. Be glad you actually have something to look forward to achieving in the future.

pretty much how I feel. I don't care for the item rewards, as they'll just take up room in my inventory that are better used by hq/meldable tools anyway. What annoys me is the message that it sends, intentional or not.

perhaps it's just a result from me losing interest in the game, but like you this is seriously the first time since beta where my thoughts about an update amounts to "...meh, really?"
