I find it annoying that anyone who has ranked a class up has to do this even tho they have probably met "most" of the requirments already.

I've been working towards the mining achievement today and to say its sapping my will to play is an understatment, its completely different when you are working towards leveling a class, but having to achieve what you have already achieved is just ridiculous.

Well I have a question, probably a dumb one too.

Do you have to do the achievements in order form the ground up (i.e. do 1-10 recipes, then 11-20 recipes, 21-30, 31-40, and finally 41-50) or could you do them in any order? (i.e. get 31-40, then snag 1-10, next grab 41-50, then finish off with 11-20 and 21-30.)

would be frustrating to complete 750 21-30 items to find out it was for nada because you have to do 1-10 and 11-20 first.

    Wow, you are just.................

Tough titty indeed, cus I will NEVER go back and craft a single craft from 1-50 again, EVER. Who is gonna do this if they already hit 50, unless they bot? Seriously? crafting is not even MILDLY entertaining.

This game is such a waste of time right now... I will admit this is reasonable, and the new additions will make this game fun for new players. Overall good job; but for people with 3+ lvl 50 DoL, the tools should just be awarded. we OBVIOUSLY hahd to make that much shit allready... you can do f*##ing calculations to determine that... get the wax otu of your brain and realize it's not that hard to create algorithms to determine a realistic estimate for the amount of items crafted, even PER LEVEL RANGE.

That's fine. I'm not asking for achievements to be handed to me, I'm asking for some credit for the levels I've already gained. You can form a pretty good estimate.

Books are limited in number by how many seals you have and even how many books you have used can be estimated based on your current number of seals, which company items you own and which company quests you've done.

Leves can be estimated too based on how many local leves you've completed since the patch that gave them hand in EXP.

I could come up with a reasonable formula in about an hour. EXP/500 wouldn't be a bad estimate for post 1.18 leves however considering I get about 200 EXP per leve synth and mainly do them for the hand in EXP. I wouldn't even complain at EXP/750, anything is decent credit. I don't think the latter as an average would be disputable in the way you suggest. That would give me what, 1200 or so credit towards the 41-50? Craft levels before 1.18 could receive a higher credit for obvious reasons.

Yes, according to our lodestone history's, SE didn't publicly track our gathering or crafting stats. However considering that years ago, when I played ffxi once a year they sent us a report that detailed such things as: How many times your character died, messaged a gm, sent a tell, leveled etc. it is silly to assume they also don't have stats they keep on us privately. Included in these are probably how many synths and gathering attempts your character has made. So, while maybe they might not know the exact number of completed synths/harvests at each level...they could have made a basic guess and given some credit towards the reward.

Another way they could have balanced things:

Or the simpler way, that would have made DOL/DOH rewards more similar to DOW/DOM.... Butchers Crown should have only been awarded for mobs killed from this patch forward. Also, there should have been a crown for having all DOL/DOH ranked just that has same stats as Paragon's Crown but can only be worn for crafting/gathering. (since crafting/gathering also benefit from our basic stats). This would have made things even between ALL the classes. Everyone would have had a fair chance to get credit for the work they already put in...but everyone would also have to put in some work if they wanted the other reward.

This is the first thing that sprang to mind that they should have done.

My biggest problem with the high crafting requirement is that it will most definitely reward cheaters who bot well before any hard working legitimate and dedicated player.

In fact, most people have been defeated already by the high requirement or feel slapped in the face for having to relevel things they had already leveled. I understand that exactly how many actions a player took to get to their current progress was not individually tracked prior to this feature, however, simple math could figure out the absolute minimum amount of actions it would take to be within that level range, and that should have been credited at least. Otherwise, creating goals that are far-fetched for the majority of players who support this game, have been supporting this game for a long time, seems to be having a negative effect on their motivation to continue to do so. And that's just not good practice. Especially when I assume to see known botters running around with gold tools in a matter of days.
