Perhaps it'll be a omnirole Job like Warrior and can tank, DPS and heal in equal measure.

Jokes aside, tank arguably has the most variety of toolkit for any role... Main reason I always figured Blue Mage could have been a tank, heck the level 2 Limit Break is already Mighty Guard (traditionally a Blue Mage spell), but stuff like Clemency, Divine Veil, Thrill of War, Equilibrium, The Blackest Night? If you ignore the traditionally broken Blue spells, I think the remaining could fit with what tanks already have in this game... Shame it had to be a Limited Job instead... I'd have liked Gunblader to be a melee DPS with ranged gimmick to share the Maiming set with Dragoon... Then again I'd also like Dancer to share the Scouting set with Ninja...
