They probably thought he'd write something better. Then again, it's not as bad as you all tend to make it. The guy just said "that's not for me, but some find it cool" in a quite disrepectful way. He's disrespectful, he lacks a lot of skills that make a good journalist, and yeah, rock paper shotgun could have send someone that's more fitted for the game. They didn't, and that lead to that mess. You can't blame SE for inviting a medium that's quite popular (for reasons unknown to me, but still). Alexa ranks it 2500ish, so sure, it's not IGN, but it has an audience. It's about video games, and they might have made some good avertisement for the game. They didn't, because they sent a jerk. I can't see how this is advertisement for the game, the article seems to go to great effort to make the player base look as weird as possible, it's nothing more than a hatchet job at best.

I don''t think people are blaming SE for this. more like asking SE to disallow RPS from attending after this article.


It wasn't even about being disrespectful to SE, but being deceitful and disrespectful to the fans and cosplayers(who had a cosplay contest as part of the events, which was convieniently left out in the article.)
