You're also doing what a lot of people mistakenly do - compare this game to other MMOs.

FFXIV isn't Anarxhy Online.

FFXIV isn't SWTOR.

FFXIV isn't WoW.

And I would absolutely guarantee that, in the event of being banned from events, there would have been some form of agreement in place, some declaration about loot rolls and who gets what.

I do understand your frustration though, as my closing story showed I not only experienced similar, but I actually stated what I wanted beforehand. But while I thought it was dickish, there was no agreement, no contract, nothing set in stone.

You even said it yourself - had the person said nothing, you wouldn't even be here. That itself says a lot.

But hey, every day is a school day. You learned a lesson. Next time, if tou absolutely want something, agree first.
