My fortune cookie says: People who place themselves on pedestals tend to make big leaps.I'd rather not see them as they would just be another reason for people in this game to not actually put in effort towards their main jobs or socialize with others to get things done.
"Oh, it's alright! I don't have to play well! The NPC's will take care of me or won't care!"
I really don't want that to be XIV's next future and used as an excuse as to why someone can't do a dungeon properly.

It's not really a leap and it's bad enough we have people at level 70 who also don't realize that Lucid Dreaming not only halves your enmity, but recovers MP as well.
We don't need those same people using NPC sidekicks as another excuse to not read their tool tips or at least put as much effort as they spend watching Netflix into playing the darn game during a dungeon run.
Trust me, you can take away all the "coddling" and you'll still have all the same problems you do now. You'll always have people who don't try. You'll always have those who simply aren't as good as you even when they do try. People will still be people no matter what. It's ridiculous to deny the entire world a useful tool because a handful of idiots will misuse it.It's not really a leap and it's bad enough we have people at level 70 who also don't realize that Lucid Dreaming not only halves your enmity, but recovers MP as well.

It's ridiculous to deny the entire world roulettes because a handful of socially inept people are incapable of dealing with other players. Specially in a healthy playerbase estimated over 500k instead of a dying niche MMO estimated to have below 50k players.
No offense to the OP but we can't have an idea be useful for a fraction of people only to ruin everything for the majority.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems like you're saying that a handful of socially inept people will use their NPCs to do everything and thus completely ruin the roulette system for the entire game community of 500,000+. It's almost as if you've defeated your own argument, but again I could have read your post wrong. It's ridiculous to deny the entire world roulettes because a handful of socially inept people are incapable of dealing with other players.
