    Landing positionals and dodging mechanics can be a thing. Once you learn a fight well enough it all becomes muscle memory. If I wanted to face roll I’d roll as a mage or ranged.

    I've learned to hold off my Samurai opener until after the divebomb. Then I can usually get one in before the phoenix down phase. Thankfully, Sam has a short opener compared to some (I hear smn is like 2 minutes long).

    This comment suggests you never played a black mage as face rolling usually ends with no enochian and a dead rotation. Melee, especially samurai are much more face rolling classes as positionals are very easy to land and you aren't burdened by movement.

    As for the thread, no. Simply no. As a mage i guess I should demand boss fights stop requiring me to move cause its unfair for my dps to suffer while melee players dps on the move just fine. Work around it instead of asking for nerfs. I'm stilll working on my clear but I have had no issue running my rotation during intense parts.

    Eh, monk needs an overhaul in general. They just took the class as it was from HW, stripped a couple of DOTS, and added some bad moves that didn't mesh well. Now that battles have more movement and often a lot more downtime, it struggles to be played despite still being potent. Needs more of an identity.

    SE just seems to hate mnks. I don't mind doing positionals, but bosses seem to have gotten more and more annoying in that respect. From random turning, to mechanics where you can't hit them. Didn't have positional in o5s or o6s and honestly, I didn't really miss them much.

    Have you tried tanks? WAR is probably the best candidate for a melee dps with no positional's. High burst and great self sustain. I've been in my fair share of fights where the party wiped and its just me, or me with another tank and we finish the fight.
