I actually like the Diadem more than Eureka, for 2 reasons.
1, you knew exactly how to pop the NMs, and they told you when they would spawn,
And 2, it was great for gatherers.![]()
I'm pretty sure the guy who keeps putting Diadem in the game either has seniority or some kind of extraordinarily juicy blackmail on everyone working on Final Fantasy XIV.
just delete Eureka from the game, thx.
Nur hübsch sein reicht eben nicht. Man muss auch Bier trinken können.

I still liked the Diadem and Eureka. Sorry fam.
Well... I mean its not Diadem though. Its somewhat like what Diadem was but there are significant enough differences that I would stop calling it out as Diadem content (imo). Diadem wasn't that terrible and was kind of fun in it's own way. Also the Diadem is likely to disappear at some point because they mentioned making the rewards available elsewhere. Anemos I was completely fine with. Pagos is dirt garbo.
The issue is that people wanted open world area with danger. That as the player base is something that we collectively asked for. If you were to look at Patch 2.4+ patches there were several threads and people asking for that type of content. The problem is that the way they have executed that request doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I don't think relegating relics as the only item that this was related to was the way to go. It should have been an optional method.

I heard that according to Yoshi, the devs can't wait to get home and play eureka. Soooo..... A group of people in an echo-chamber saying it's good? Maybe?
Wait till it actually launches, please. The salt about Pagos wasn't as justified as people thought, and I'm not going to despair about pyros based on a translated line in an interview.
In theory you are correct, people shouldn't jump the gun before it's released but given how bad designed first 2 zones were and past experience with Diadem in 2 versions. I will bet Diadem v4 gonna be as bad like the rest been.
Maybe is more popular in japan? Over here 1/20 seem to like it or being pretty neutral.

Maybe there are tons of definition what a casual might be. For me, casuals are players who may not be skilled enough for savage, but still skilled enough for at least a bit challenging (not hard) content. Who said that every casual player love to doing a boring and long grind? Especially those players, who dont have that much time.
The whole relic questline could a least more fun, if you mix a bit open world grind with a bit challenge in it. Not that much time consuming, no instanced areas, no long tedious grinds and especially no damn RNG.
Just a small idea for a alternative relic quest step:
You can buy a book with tomes (100 per book), but you only can have one per kind in your inventory.
Each book comes in 4 kinds: Blue, Green, Yellow and Red. Each book comes with 5 random objectives (depending on its color), but you only need to complete 3 of them.
- Blue books (the book of grind) can be completed by completing a specific amount of dungeons/raids/fates/pvp/whatever.
- Green books (the book of monsters) can be completed by finding specific open world monsters. Only hints are given you have to make a snapshot from them.
- Yellow books (the book of collection) can be completed by collecting and/or crafting specific items. You only need to have them in your inventory until you finished your book.
- Red books (the book of challenge) can be completed by defeating some extreme primals.
For a weapon, you have to complete 10 books, no matter which kind. Armor parts need to complete 5 books.
