    This Needs to Be Said

I'm sorry in advance, but having just fully returned recently and now seeing the news, I really need to get this off my chest. What is it with the devs and their obsession with Diadem-like gameplay? What is with this vision of theirs about this that they keep beating it into the player base?

    “3rd times the charm.”

No, 3rd time is definitely not the charm.

Neither was the 4th time, and neither will be the 5th time.

3rd time was only manageable because, honestly, this was one of the most socialized experiences with such a large and diverse group of players. We helped each other. Still do in fact. We joked and chatted about anything and everything. For the most part, we stuck together and even today, still bring the low level players with us because all of us inside of Anemos were in this together. Then Pagos came along. Now, I haven’t touched Pagos myself, but from all accounts, it’s unnecessarily anti-Anemos. Too much grinding, from what I understand, with a healthy dose of RNG splattered in.

Now we get Pyros, and we get even more RNG added once we get our prize.

I don’t get it. Was being universally panned 4 times not good enough for the devs? They have to insult their playerbase by doing this yet again? How clear do players have to make it?

    The playerbase. Hates. Diadem.

If you’d actually communicated with us on at least a semi-regular basis, or were open to actual feedback instead of pre-generated messages, maybe you guys would see that players do not like to have their free time insulted by a game we already have to pay to play. How many times do you have to be told that this type of content irritates your players?

Simply put, stop taking players for granted. Respect our time. Don’t insult our fondness for FFXIV. This borderline obsession , and really, some of the decisions made during this whole expansion, is just going to further alienate your audience. Seriously. The devs need to pick it up and get in touch with modern audiences.
