Its ffxiv combat really so slow and boring?

I think the combat could absolutely be improved, just by reducing the overall number of weavable skills and the GCD, but that would require them to address button bloat.

To be fair, they already did this. They addressed button bloat by stripping out tons of oGCD buffs and a handful of GCD buttons. The end result of that, ultimately, is this thread. And things like me taking nearly half this expansion off (in conjuncture with other problems, but still).

If they strip out even more oGCDs and lower the GCD recast so we're just spamming the core GCD abilities more often, I for one am 100% done.
I'm also 100% done if they take the one button rotation found in 4.X's PvP mode and apply that to PvE, which will definitely eventually happen, but I digress.

I really hope they don't do that, it literally killed the PvP fc I am in when they dumbed down the pvp abilities. Imagine how much it would kill this game, considering how PvE orientated this game is.
