PSA/ALERT: Houses are getting demolished when they shouldn't. SE needs to see this!

Apologies for the delay in sharing a response regarding this matter.

From our investigations, we have not found cases where housing demolition warning emails were not sent to users who were approaching an estate demolition deadline. To ensure that important notifications such as these are received, we ask you to confirm that your email address is up to date in your Square Enix account settings.

However, if you feel there was an issue regarding your estate being demolished erroneously then it is imperative that you submit a detailed bug report (either via the official forum, (NA) Support Center/(EU) Support Centre, or an in-game GM call) so that the team can do a thorough investigation. We would need information from those affected directly to ensure we gather as much pertinent information as possible.

Thank you for the reply Bayohne, but I worry that you guys missed the point. The thread wasn't about the emails not reaching players when they were supposed to (although admittedly, that did come up as well) but the point of the thread was to discuss the possibility of demo timers not being properly reset when the owner entered the house. Would it be too much to ask for an official word on that, one way or another? Even just to know that it was being looked into would go a long way toward easing some players' anxiety. Thanks.

To be fair, he did say send a detailed report so they can do a thorough investigation. I assume what he's saying is they might not have enough information to go off of for that?

Thank you for the response to this Bayohne, it is very much appreciated! I'm really happy to see the warning emails were looked into. I hope if there is anyone in here who truly had their estate demolished in error that they will file the necessary bug reports as you asked. I hope we'll know the truth about this potential bug soon.

From my understanding, they realised that is the main issue, they simply investigated the emails also. But they are pending bug reports from those effected by demolitions of error so they can investigate the demolition timers not working properly.

But the main point of this thread was not the mails but that people might have lost it even though they should not even be part of the demolition thus they should not have gotten emails anyway. Hopefully you might still look at this and if its not a joke by people then maybe find a solution.

Also can someone say when they got their first warning message? Because I did not get one after reaching 10 days left and I really get all the other mails from SE so it would be strange to not have that.

Yes, as I mentioned, we are asking users who feel that there was an error outside of the normal housing demolition procedure to fill out a bug report so we can investigate the claims case by case.

I have to ask, how does this help people who have already lost their houses or those fearful of losing them? There are numerous reports of houses being demo'd mere days after the owner stepped inside them. A bug isn't report give them their house back.

Eh ... it would help addressing the problems (if exists or doesn't exist) so people don't have to fear any more for once?

For two, it helps to verify if the report is factual. If they can verify that it is, they can both stop it and find a way to compensate the affected players. It seems you're asking the questions already assuming what people are claiming are true. But until it's verified as factual, there is nothing else to do really. And like I said, if people are interested in seeing the issues come to light/resolves quickly, then it's their interests to make the reports.
