PSA/ALERT: Houses are getting demolished when they shouldn't. SE needs to see this!

If that happened, my virtual house in a video game would be lowest priority on my list.

It may not be a priority but it doesn't have to add to the pain of the disaster someone is suffering. I'm still strongly of the view that they need to remove this enter the house silliness and just let a paying sub be the answer to whether or not a house stays or gets demolished.

To the people crying about the auto timer being too short and wanting to play other games: it takes about two minutes to log into the game and go home once a month to save it. How does that effect your ablity to play something else??

Screenshot evidence on July 15 2018 of his character inside of the FC house.
House was demolished on August 7 2018. Right before, during, or just after maintenance as they played on patch day and found their gil/items at the NPC with nearly full timer allocated towards retrieving the items.
Their sub is always current and they typically go inside the house but recently have not moved or removed any furnishings, except for changing the exterior (retainer) but not anything inside recently besides the retainer.


They still had house teleport August 4 2018 but the main point is that they supposedly have the screenshot evidence to show they were in the house on July 15 2018 so they were well within 30 days let alone 45 days.

Never got a response from the so-called "SE responded and acknowledged that I had used my housing appropriately so as to avoid demolition, but that my house was demolished anyways and that I could collect my belongings and 80% of the purchase price of my plot from the Resident Caretaker." when I asked them twice to provide this proof and they were definitely on since I've asked them.

Someone brought up the 45 days and people comment their stance on it? They are not provoking, it's called discussing. I also think 45 is plenty time. By design housing is limited and if you not playing anymore you shouldn't keep your house, people already scream and kick about housing. .

No trust me, that person was provoking a fight. It one thing to discuss opinions and have disagreements, it another when they go and assume/insult/whatever because they don't agree with your opinion. They were starting drama which is why they quickly went to my ignore list.

Strongly in agreement with this statement ^ If they need to keep this auto timer going, let it be on those who stop paying for their sub. It still doesn't stop a bug like this from happening though since there still a timer but may happen far less when it only people who are unsub from the game.

Not everyone can pay for two gaming subs? Therefore, imo, is it really worth going to one game for a month only to turn around and have to come back to XIV. Seems kind of pointless. If someone wants to play another game, it because the content is dry and boring, like right now. I'm in the handful of people that hate pagos, so I have nothing much to do at the moment other then bird farming for my FC members who need them still, and HoH.

Yoshi-P even once said a long time back when ARR was released, "Go and play other games. Have fun. When a new patch releases, come back and play." (something along them lines, I can't quote it word for word and tried to google it). Can we do that? Nope, at least not me. Not worth playing a different game for only a month then come back to XIV and just keep flipping back and forth. That not fun.

XIV isn't the only pay to play game out there so unless one were to be going to a F2P (which I wouldn't be), it would be two gaming subs a month. Like say someone paying for XIV and WoW (<--$15.99 a month). Not everyone can afford to pay two gaming subs a month and therefore would have to flip between both games every month.

If this is all you have to say, along with other posts to me and others, it is very clear you are here only to fight with people. In your own words " deal with it" in regards of people disagreeing with a poorly made system. Also just like you, and just like Cylla told you, that person and you are only provoking, this is not a discussion on your part. When you say stuff like you did to me, you only do so to provoke fights, nothing else.

Also ya don't expect people to be only be playing ffxiv, so it def costs too much, in relation what little it has to offer.

You're assuming that they mean other MMOs when they just referring to other games in general. Monster Hunter World, Dark Souls Remastered, and ARK: Survival Evolved are all the games besides FF14 that I've been playing recently; none of them are F2P or have subs.

Ugh. I can't believe I'm still posting in this thread. This is the second long-winded digression in a row. Honestly, the fact that the topic seems to be winding down/completely derailing really makes me think that this whole thing was either an honest mistake or an intentional hoax that was blown way out of proportion. Less people seem to be encountering this "bug" as time goes by, not more. Why not let the thread die down until there is actually something relevant to the subject to discuss? Bumping it to rehash tired, old arguments that are only tangentially related to the original topic is just keeping the thread at the top of the forum and could be misleading people to think there is a problem when there isn't.

If there honestly is a bug, the issue will continue to crop up regardless of if we bump the thread with off-topic discussion. If there isn't a bug, we are just perpetuating the panic around it by not letting the thread fade away naturally.
