Everyone has a perspective, just because it's not easy does not make it bad content. I for one like it. It's nice to be challenged and use common sense, hence the XP loss. Can use a bit of improvements, I think the worst part of this content is knowing that players still don't understand how to rotate the elemental wheel and expect people to carry them. Given XP should be raised a lot more if you solo or duo. At higher levels forces you to join a fate train :/. That or increase crystal drops for solo to duo. I know SE trough us a bone and give us a FC buff for those drops. -.- /
When a game fails to be fun and engaging it is bad content. Duration to achieve rewards is not the issue, but rather the bland means to get there.Everyone has a perspective, just because it's not easy does not make it bad content. I for one like it. Honestly curious. What isn't Optional Content in this game? The MSQ is as close as it gets to being mandatory content to progress in the game.
Getting really tired of "Optional Content" being tossed around like that. The relic is a weapon that is very much a representation of your class, and grows with you throughout the expansion. That's quite a bit more personal than dressing up as Hein.
The optional content thats kinda the main attraction of SB for casual players? And that has not been received that well from the very beginning? I mean if we talk about this way maybe the next relic is just simply killing one monster in a room thousands of time. (And having a death penalty if you die through it) Its not harder than pagos, which is nothing more than constantly beating monsters so that would be fine right? Its optional content right?
There is just a line for everyone. If yours is still not crossed by this then hey fine for you. But others may have more expectations for fun content, especially if its the main new one in SB.
Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX Q&A Summary (10/30/2013)
Q: Will there be any maintenance fees or other costs for housing, besides the cost of the land and house?
A: In older MMOs, such as Ultima Online, there was a house maintenance fee you had to pay weekly, but in FFXIV: ARR we decided against this system. Similarly, these older MMOs also had a system where your house would break down if you didn’t log in after a while in order to have you continue your subscription, but this is a thing of the past and we won't have any system like that.
You seem to be under the delusion that people don't like it because its "not easy" and this is most definitely not the case, we don't like it because its tedious and incredibly boring with a very bad sense of progression. We don't want our shit "fast" we want to have fun while working towards our relics, from a design perspective, Eureka doesn't cut the mustard, keep in mind, this content was delayed several months so they could fine tune it, yet the end product is incredibly divisive and is marred by so many problems.Everyone has a perspective, just because it's not easy does not make it bad content. It has nothing to do with difficulty, its not hard, I've done Savage and worked on some Ultimate progression, Pagos is literally nothing in comparison, the only thing you have to worry about is the element wheel, which is barely 2-3 clicks worth of thought.
Seriously, very few dislike it for the "difficulty" you seem to think it has, just as you claim to enjoy it, we can express our distaste towards it, its not like we haven't explained in very clear detail what we don't like about Pagos and the precedent it sets.

Because the numbers aren't available is why I'm giving them the tools.
This is not directed at you specifically: Just because no one is actively gathering numbers doesn't mean the situation doesn't exist, and I'm showing them how they can observe that situation and reach their own conclusions. The conclusion I reached is that there's a massive disparity between the number of instances and the number of level 70s for a weapon that is aimed at the broad playerbase.
