You also have the luxury of being able to fail or not profit from being in certain markets since you have footholds in other to make up for it, which someone with only 2 retainers don't have the benefit of doing, meaning they have to be more cautious in their investments.

Just cause it isn't battle content, doesn't mean that you aren't getting an advantage over others. Yes, gil is almost useless, but it's the principal that's the main concern, not the end result.
Exactly but the thing here is, I really did not want to go down what is a pay to win debate since what I saw from the past, each side is not going to convince the other. I really like it if statements like "with a dumb logic like that" be left out, since I can easily turn around and say the same thing for the counter argument.

My main point I want to focus on, especially with yoshi-P posting in this thread is to validate all these fees. Where I stand, the game should be over funded off the sub fee alone. The mog station is overpriced, the retainers is overpriced, the app fee is over priced, the microtransactions is just a cash grab at this point. Why... WHY does this game has so many fees when the quality is not there? It is not the players fault the game is more expensive to run because they do not want to address the 1.0 code this game is built on. I really would loved to see this all explained outside "we will release the app soon".
