    Does it have to be new though? Combat content is for fighting, and while the concept of Creator or Midas or Gordias might not be new it would be a new set of content to play in for the sake of playing, to progress, to try. We don't get new content anyways outside of what I would call a pitiful sum anyways, exchanging a dungeon for introducing six tiers worth of adjusted content for people to prog on is a decent trade. Obviously it'd be more work than one dungeon (I'd assume, I'm not on the dev team) but it would be a substantial amount of content.

    Also I don't pay my sub so that filthy crafters get to waste 40 million gil on the RNG game of melding their gear to craft throwaway items that strictly exist to be gil sinks but here I am 3 years into this game still throwing money at it on a monthly basis. We all pay for things we don't want lol.

    Fair, specifically in the defensive area with tanks, and some additional healing tools. It's likely that the content would be easier than originally implemented, but personally I don't think they'd need to change much if anything at all in terms of mechanics. Things can be easier, they don't have to be as hard as they were in the past.

    As I mentioned in my initial post, ilvl sync changing your actual level is not so good and makes doing the older content at a reasonable level a bit of a pain (having to get a full set of gear at a lower ilvl, that sort of thing) and is a fairly large gate to people who want to enjoy old content without the whole 'my kit doesn't exist' problem.

    Which is what I addressed in my reply. Your suggestion to retune content for the current level would cost resources that would otherwise be spent on new content.
    You already state that SE doesn't add enough of your preferred content, but that amount would be lower if they were to spend resources on your suggestion.

    Also, you only pay for access to the server. What SE does with your money is up to them.

    Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'd not want to do Coil nowadays at minimum level/ilvl. Did them as WHM - I had stoneskin back then and the extra mitigation was needed. Anyone remember double prey in T10 with Imdugud? I do, and I remember how fast they came out. So yeah, the statement is true that fights were designed around certain job builds at the time, that doesn't exactly translate to still being able to do it without certain things to make up for things lost (like an AST with noct sect can handle both, I think or a SCH saving swiftcast for the second prey might work as well). Jeeze, I remember stoneskinning everyone for Megaflare in T9 and flipping a coin to see if people stayed alive or died without it.

    Would still rather see completely new content (and Ultima Weapon Ultimate being exactly how I would have wanted Ultima Weapon the first time around and being slightly miffed about that).

    Um...If you don't care about the exact same feeling, difficulty and skills...what exactly stops you from doing them unsynced, as lvl70, with lvl50 or lvl60 gear?! I mean, you will have all your skills from lvl70, but the difficulty will be about the same as it was, with the feel being closer to the original than any sort of remastering of the old content could offer. Levels on their own give very insignificant bonuses. It's all about gear and skills.

    It would have been nice to have content that progressed as you leveled to keep things revelavent... and it would have kept zones more active and “lively or living” if they make another mmo in the future I hope they will consider doing this..

    One of the big reasons I quit WoW is because the game has shifted almost entirely to offering a little bit of content with inexhaustible rewards that's meant for you to do it endlessly. It's incredibly boring, no matter how good the rewards are.

    I admit, I like this idea. being able to do old content scaled up to the current level cap would be a fun option. The biggest thing I would enjoy is being able to do say Titan ex at level 70 with my level 70 skills instead of unsycn to crush it or do it since but know that I am missing 20 levels of skill that would be amazing to have. I don't think dropping the ilvl would be a good idea for this though as it removes metaria added to the gear. I would say, tune the fight for a good balance at mid xpac gear level. The first to do it in an xpac would have the hardest first and it would naturally changes as the gear ilvl goes up though the 2 year xpac life cycle. I really love old level 50 and 60 content, I just hate doing them without the new skills we get at level 70.
