What Weapon Should A Blue Mage Use?

As the title imply's if we unlock Blue Mage in the next expansion what weapon would you like them to use?

I personally would love for them to use a gunblade, with a crystal medium in the hilt that shines whenever casting a spell. The casting animation would be them pointing their gunblade at the target, while the crystal medium shines profoundly and blue lines start enveloping towards them.

Traditionally, Blue mages use scimitars. I'd say don't get your hopes up though.

In history Blue mage has used Scimitars, and the alternatives have been maces. But I dont think we will ever get blue mage in the game.

i would not be opposed to a blue mage being a "gun" blade user and having "ammo be blue bullettes

I think Blue Mage is still possible in this game. It may not be like the ones in previous games, but I think SE could find a way to make it work. I can see Blue Mages dual-wielding scimitars

I've never seen people so excited for a class name. "Blue mages should wield gunblades!" "Blue mages should be tanks!" "It doesn't matter if they don't learn mob abilities!" None of this makes for an actual blue mage, but I swear they could deliver a qiqirn rider wielding pool noodles for the glory of Loto and as long as they name it "blue mage," people will buy into the hype.

Pretty much my thought on the matter, at least not 100% Blue Mage. Maybe something that incorporates elements of it, but nothing beyond that, meaning that it wouldn't necessarily have to follow the traditional Middle Eastern blades most commonly associated with the job.
