Too bulky. The gag is though, there was a black woman on FFXI. She was bald and her edges were scattered to the four corners of the earth, but she was there. Lol. But that game in general offered a paltry amount of customization. Like it’s cute if the game was marketed to a specific demographic, but it’s not. Guild Wars 2 had very good options.

The irony is that I’m sure that if all those guys in that gif were to make a hyur, they’d most likely want one that looks like them. Especially if they’re paying a sub.

It may shock you, but not everybody is interested in designing a character that looks like they do. FFXIV is already a very diverse game. It seems like you only want to count 'visible' diversity, though...

Guild Wars 2 had very good options.

It's also an MMO currently caught up in controversy over a developer getting fired in large part due to her obsession with identity politics. So that might not be the best example to use.

We do have red, grey and green people tho... They are called Hellsguard, Duskwight, and Seawolves. And Au Ra all of the above + blue. XD

Global usually means "safe" and so...yeah... The only way to actually fix this issue is to have sliders which just isn't going to happen here sadly. :<

Those I know in real life don’t want to look like white men. I have a friend who’d catfish as a female in MMOs to get guys to give him in game currency, but that’s about it.

I've seen a VERY well done red-skinned male Au Ra. I've seen TONS of grey skinned Roe/Au Ra/Hyur. Even more green skinned Roe than anything else. And yes, there are tons of caucasian like characters, but that is up to the player to decide if that's what they wanted.

Sure, there could be more customization, but highly doubt there will be anytime in the foreseeable future.

You said “but not everybody”, which doesn’t mean nobody. Just because you or others don’t, doesn’t invalidate the point and make it untrue for others. Pretty selfish mindset really. And identity and heritage are important to many people throughout the world, including in Japan. Not everyone shares a western mindset of individualism. That woman carried herself unprofessionally arguing and insulting customers. But that’s irrelevant. I’m on the lighter spectrum of skin color, but I have a yellow undertone that I couldn’t find in the creator. I’m criticizing cause I pay a sub.

Some of you all really struggle to follow along. No wonder many can’t grasp moving out of red circles and to not spam Blizzard. I could’ve swore I said Hyur in the OP, and that’s what most have been discussing. Do try to keep up.

I started out as a dark duskwight because I started in limsa as arcanist. At first I thought it was good because the map shows it's in southern hemisphere.
Then I looked around, with light green/blue seawolves and sunseekers. I switched to wildwood after I learned more about hydaelyn, particularly gelmorra
(home of lots of duskwights) which I'm surprised was underground, also the darker tones live in forest and caves (why??). The lore doesn't really match
climate with races or works the opposite logic in eorZea. Othard makes more sense with confederates living by the sea. Adjust your story, the game provide
options for the story, not for your real life. No game can do that.

I to find their options lacking. I would love a fresh lining, fro hawk, cornrows, zig-zags, pressed hair, a face with a good fat tail, and a high top fade. Pleased se,please let me look good.

Exactly. That’s what a lot of my friends want. Just throw in something with every patch instead of a million straight hair options.
