The weapons are on par with Tsukuyomi. So just get those if you need a 365 weapon?

I don't really think the weapons cost that much. Especially since silvers are guaranteed to give you aetherpool outside of aetherpool sync, and there seems to be a higher drop rate of them per floor. Unlike in PotD where you could go an entire 10, 20, or even 30 floors with "Your aetherpool remains unchanged...".
For someone who isn't interested in doing the challenge floors, there's not much reason to hold on to 99/99 aetherpool, so spending 10/10 on grips and then building it back up takes very little time or effort. With PotD, it always seemed to take longer because of the increase's RNG.

I don't think the issue is the cost. With the HW relic, the hardcore people just went and grinded Aetherochemical Facility nonstop for tomes, while others grinded just about anything. Getting a weapon on casual feels a lot like nonstop grinding aetherochemical. There just isnt enough variation. There needed to be real puzzle floors, or more drawing random levels in terms of graphics or mobs. For someone who isn't interested in doing the challenge floors, there's not much reason to hold on to 99/99 aetherpool, so spending 10/10 on grips and then building it back up takes very little time or effort. You know this is kind of what I was expecting when unlocking HoH, and the NPC mentions that the were lots of traps inside the tower. I was thinking oh cool, maybe spiked floors or poison pools (what you get in old school FF games), perhaps doors with a chest nearby containing the enemy that always asks for elixirs (I forget the name), except you would give it maybe a pomander to get by etc. I know I know HoH is just a copy of potd, but I expected a little more for how short it is to make it fun.

This is pretty much how I see it, at least for HoH. I also think anyone going on about how hard it is to get an empyrean weapon should go back to PotD and farm from scratch for a kinna weapon.
Like I've said in other thread, the only real problem is the same "dud lootbox" issue that was initially rampant in Eureka. If the reasoning for it is to make players keep running HoH, then they may as well jack up the price of empyrean weapons.

I don't think its that they cost too much, but there are unintended consequences from it.
1. The +10/10 is actually convenient, but the flip side is that it makes it more monotonous since you no longer need to grind lower floors to power it up. You get to 40/40 or something, then just spam 21-30 nonstop, turning it in every 2 runs or so.
2. You simply cannot turn it in if you want to do challenge floors. So again, you have to spam one floor.
3. The amount of aetherpool i get varies from 5/5 to 10/10 a set of floors, meaning 10-20 runs to get one weapon. This is a lot more constant I think, and adds to monotony.
I mean, the cost is high but ok, but the other things make it a lot more of a grind than it should be.
I regularly challenge the higher floors, and every time I do, I turn in 20/20 for two grips. and, again, every time I do, I get to 99/99 before it's important.

Likewise, in my first 100 floor clear, I started with below 70. Better yet, our healer in the second clear didn't reach 90/90+ until the higher floors. You absolutely don't need 99/99 to start a full clear run.
It's fine, I got 1 & forged enough for 2 more the grind from +89/89 to +99/99 is easy especially since get a free +1/1 at end of floor 30 boss. This content is for those that want loot & leveling alts/alt jobs so you're expected to be grinding it enough that you'll get HoH weapons quickly enough.
HoH are really only glams anyway considering Pagos is coming soon with possibility of ending on an i370"doubtful most likely i365 due 5 slots" & we'll have upgrade for tome weapons soon to i370.. so the 10grips is absolutely fine.
A system error occurred during event movement.
...Well, players now have aetherpool grips. Pay 10 at a time.
Compared to POTD's progression, this is completely normal. Nothing to complain about, unless one has never done the content before.
HoH is even easier to obtain a weapon from, as players are guaranteed +1 every 21-30 run, and players no longer need to severely hinder performance to make a weapon.
It's not to be done in 1 sitting; neither was Palace. Players can't always immediately get everything they want.
