You just went on a rant about people not investing money into their house, and you say that its the community that is selfish? My PoV as a homeowner with not much gil is that people can do what they like with their house, and you shouldn't judge at all. As for the housing availability problem, I feel that the housing demolition and recent restrictions are all that is needed for mid pop and low pop servers, however, I think that the devs should focus specifically on high pop servers with future housing improvements in order to cater to the greater number of players.

Players not investing in the homes I observed only validates my concern. I also believe I stated myself that people can do what they want with their homes. I'm not dictator here. But yes, I will judge without feeling shame. I feel that the rules and lack of restrictions doesn't excuse what I feel is poor etiquette. The problem does not need to exist across all servers for it to be a community problem. If I was speaking solely for Siren, I wouldn't even be here.

I've relocated about 10 of those houses to that specific ward when they doubled the amount of available wards. I've converted 3 of those houses to FC houses and since then, I've obtained 8 more FC houses for a total of 18 FC houses and 3 personal houses. Contrary to the popular belief, leveling up 18+ fcs takes ressources on top of the ongoing management. There's no circumventing the rules or any exploit. Anyone can load up 9 houses on the same account if they are willing to put in the effort.

If they were around since before the current restrictions were placed, they were grandfathered in, so the new rules don’t apply to what they already had.

Clearly the effort that's been made here has been done with the current changes in mind, with just a single service account.

The current rules clearly describe that one service account is allowed 1 personal house and 1 FC house per world. The 10 houses they had before hand is another matter, but the 8 they've obtained since then is not only a clear violation of this rule, but speaks to their intention to claim an entire ward in the face of the overwhelming amount of players who want to get a house, but can't. It's a slap in the face of fair play, and it's a slap in the face to those players with dreams of their own.

What you are all overlooking is the temporary changes to purchasing land. Some are still ongoing, some are not. How do I know? I wasn't able to purchase more FC houses on the same account when the new wards were only available to FCs or personal houses reolcation.

Like with the patch, I don't think anyone with current ownership should be affected if additional restrictions are placed. With the addition of the message books, I started going around wards to leave friendly messages to houses I liked, and I was astonished at the amount of homes I saw with less than 100k invested into the décor and not taking advantage of housing exclusive features such as gardening, chocobo stables, flower pots, etc. It's what has led to my abrasive PoV in this thread.

You’re contradicting yourself here—you’re saying “people can do whatever they want with their houses” while also saying “but I’m going to judge them for not doing what I think should be done with them”. That’s not a valid defense for any argument about additional housing restrictions. Which I’m still waiting for you to tell me what restrictions you would want put in place in the future. Can I at least get an answer to that?

Then quit trying to prove me wrong, and report that person. I stated in the very post you just quoted part of, that if the person is actively obtaining more fc houses on a single account, then they are outside of the rules SE has established, and SE needs to know about it.

If these are actively buying yet are characters on separate accounts then they are within their rights to do so, but if they’re making use of some loophole despite what SE has done to stop hoarding, then SE needs to know about it.

I do feel that most cases of this are just players who already had the houses relocating as they got the chance.
