1 to 40 in a day is pretty severe. It is essentially the same thing as letting people start at lvl 40.It is an answer. There is choice in the matter. People who want to xp party can xp party. I've done maybe 2 PL parties. Maybe 3. Done tons of xp parties since 1.19 hit though. Was in one just last night. I understand the existence of PL dilutes the presence of xp parties, at lower ranks more so, but it is not as severe as some people make it out to be.
Yeah, what with those SE-issued power levelers and all just waiting to grind for someone for six straight hours the moment they get out of the opening cut scene. Just like starting at 40.
SE doesn't need to issue PLs because people just PL themselves. Yoshida hides his PL stance behind the fact that he wants friend to help level friend, but the truth is, most people PL themselves. The rest of the PLers trade off, 1 PLs the other for an Hour then they switch. This is blatant abuse of a poorly designed system. And no, that isn't going to stop when Subs starts or when 2.0 drops. Unless they fix this within the next two patches, it's here for the life of the game.
If someone has the money to buy two computers to run this game, and the desire two purchase two copies of it in order to PL a second character. More power to themSE doesn't need to issue PLs because people just PL themselves. The "oust and kill" thing needs to be fixed. Most ideally by exp being determined by party level when the mob is claimed.
PL as intended is fine.
