I didn't say it changes the quality but saying it's useless is factually incorrect because if it was useless you would have got nothing when you finish the whole quest chain but most only done the first part because you are forced to do that one (and he does mention to come back when you are finish with everything but most people miss that, I guess people were to busy complaining about teleporting too much...).

Fun Fact: If you talk to the Wandering Dramaturge you may figure out who it actually is and funny how they know the Wandering Minstrel. You can also learn more from the Allagan Node. So personally I found it to be a interesting quest.
