Neat
Also check your static's betting pool for 'what ability will get a DA tag next'. If someone guessed 'plunge' they're winning big, because they're the only person who thought SE would do such a thing.

One day I'll be the MT mountain I want to be... But that day is not today. (As of Patch 3.2)
They need to seriously start dropping the usage of Dark Arts. I saw what they did with Dark Mind (which was an actual engaging use of Dark Arts) and approved, then I read the change to Plunge and I literally facepalmed. Probably the worst Dark Arts use so far goes to Syphon Strike.
The way they've evened out DA now is that no matter what you're getting the 140 potency gain. With DM, PS, and DP before (actually not sure about DP but w/e) you were losing out on potency for using the DA effect. Now that everything that uses DA does damage there's no real need to worry about if your DA gets 'Eaten' or not. Personally, I think that's a welcome change. I think it's pretty clear with the new DA effects which ones you're going to prioritize (obviously aggro in plunge and DP if you're holding hate and aggro is an issue) but otherwise it's fairly good. They need to seriously start dropping the usage of Dark Arts. I don't understand, they acknowledged that a common complain is that we have to much Dark Arts to spam and they decide to add a Dark Arts effects to a new oGCD ? So that we'll have something else to double-weave ?!
And it's funny to see Shadow Wall changed when they stated they couldn't do it because content is balanced around CD Timers
As for Sole Survivor, it's a nice utility change, that will actually give a bit of synergy with Living Dead.
Well, now, you can't precast Dark Arts, Plunge, then use Carve And Spit at pull...who knows, maybe the next step is to bump Carve and Spit to 310 native potency and still 450 with DA...

It's a start, although they really shouldnt have put DA on plunge. If they really want us to use it so often, they should at least let the DA charges stack up.
It's still extremely counter intuitive. And clunky. Or both. The way they've evened out DA now is that no matter what you're getting the 140 potency gain. on a defensive stand point are really grat changes, on ofensive stand point is a trash patch again, lowest utility from the 3 and lowest dps, we are going to be lucky if we can barely match PLD dps with new sole survivor mp, really i dont know why SE try so hard to let WAR being the best on everything, i like the changes but balance wise it dont solve nothing.

It doesn't have the love that went into the WAR update.
30% Dark Mind and lower cooldown on SW are welcome, and at least PS combo doesn't double dip damage loss anymore (just single dip). Animation improvement on plunge is of course welcome.
Soul Survivor now is a tiny increase that's just pressed on cooldown. Makes it usable, but not a game-changer like what happened with shake it off.
DA Plunge is unneeded, and actually probably unwelcome.
