The mod community is not getting out of control, OP. There's a few douchebags, yes, but don't put a gigantic spotlight on the mod community because of this. Rather than complain to the forums, report those who are harassing you in-game. As it stands, you are pretty much throwing a huge mod community under the bus over this. Yes, it probably does suck, but don't say silly things like 'the mods are getting out of control'. They're really not. If somebody harasses you, report them. End of story.

Ironically enough, with the attention that's been given to the mod community, I would not be surprised if the devs address this. And if they do, it'll be both sad and hilarious that they respond to client-side texture alterations (because their engine restricts having truly unique characters, which in this day and age is just sad), and because they're willing to pay attention to this, and not the rampart bots that continue to make life for crafters and gatherers hard because Square sees only the bottom dollar line that their accounts give the company.
