This thread was already pretty deplorable in a lot of ways, but you just took the cake with this one. That's straight out of "if she didn't want it, why did she dress like that?" logic.

    Ehh... I agree and disagree.

You can like a race's appearance for reasons beyond standards of beauty/attractiveness, but at the same time, one has to accept responsibility for their choices. Take WoW, for example. I met very few players who didn't understand that rolling a Blood Elf was going to result in instant hate from a lot of, "True," Horde players. When players rolled a female Draenei, they were quite well aware, for the most part, about the various jokes and views about them.

If you're going to roll in this game what is largely seen as the, "Waifu," race/gender combination, then you should be prepared for how people are going to view said character.

I certainly didn't pick male miqo'te thinking that I WOULDN'T be stereotyped as various things. I like how they look and I also figured people would judge me for my choice. Can't say I care what people think but when someone drops a dumb comment like, "Are you a furry," I just shrug because I expected to get questions like that the minute I made the character.

One can't change how people will behave or perceive things. One can adapt and prepare for it.

With that logic, anyone who plays a Lala and gets upset about the Lala jokes shouldn't have rolled one in the first place, otherwise they are asking for it.

See how back assward that is?

Comments like this is good way to get banned from the forums. It's very rude and disrespectful.

    1) Even if a user is 'found out' in the community, there's nothing that can be done to prevent them accessing mods online. Period.
    2) If someone does harass you with them, report, blacklist, move on. Why let it ruin your life?
    3) It's all client-side, not server-side. It's literally the same thing as imagining someone naked. They're clothed, but you can 'see' them naked. And as long as you have the common sense not to tell them about it, everyone's life goes on.
    4) Unless the game files are completely overhauled, literally anything and everything can be changed and modded. There's no such thing as "safe" apparel in the long run.
    5) People that use the mods and never share/talk about them/shove it in your face aren't a problem. The problem is the jerks using it to harass others, and they'll find ways without mods to be A-holes.

So? I don't mind my character being seen at all, I dress skimpy enough as is.

Because learning to cope with, diffuse and handle situations like this is one of the most valuable life skills that many people seem to lack these days.

This is a far more important detail in the grand scheme of things than drama over a generic bare behind that might have your character's name above it.

Which is why I said blisting is probably the best option. If someone is being incredibly offense to you, you shouldn't just have to put up with it and play along.

Yes, learning to cope with idiots and situations you don't enjoy is part of life, however, people who are intentionally harassing someone with this should not be given the free pass that this thread seems to be giving them.

Is it really incredibly offensive though? I think a little step backwards followed by a reality check is in order here.

Malora's example from a few pages back strikes me as something to legitimately be concerned about. This is just silly nonsense that appears to have escaped a children's playground.

Are we now at the point where we get to judge what other people may or may not find offensive?

We don't know how old OP is (maybe they're a minor?), we don't know their relationship history or if there has ever been any abuse. Maybe they just don't enjoy unwanted sexual attention? They could also be a giant prude. Regardless of the reason, just because you don't find something offensive doesn't mean that someone else shouldn't as well.
