The problem in the old PvP was, that you could do a lot of rookie mistakes. You could wear diadem gear, or gear which barely met the ilvl requirement which meant less secondary stats, then you have gear that people shouldn't wear at all like dexterity, intelligence, strenght gear as a tank. Before the match even started it was clear who would win. And who wouldn't get angry at somebody if you tell the guy what he needs to change but he literally does the same mistakes for several hundred matches. Then people could have not unlocked their jobskills, some never used the extra 5-6 pvp skills which could be even traited further. Another major disadvantage because those were really strong.

Feast wasn't so easy 2 explain that you can tell the guy everything he has to know in 1 minute preparation time.
It's just some western mentality that a lot of players don't see a reason to get informed before they join ranked PvP, they expected it to be like any other casualfriendly content in the game, where you just go in say hi and everybody is happy. But what happens is, they lose. And this game is good at giving you everything you want in PvE, because you can't practically lose you just have to try another time until you win. But in PvP a lose is permanent, and it isn't you ofc who did the mistakes because you always won in all the other content...right?

Well whatever, the made it now very basic and casualfriendly, but it feels boring because the gameplay doesn't allow much dynamic situations. We have to realy on countdowns in order to kill anything at all, which still often fail. Generally, I see less topics to rage about than before with old PvP.
People get banned and reported for stuff that happens in PvE content, I dont see why PvP cant be the same. If you are stuck in a 24er raid because some players cant handle mechanics and wipe you for 30min, the chat is more toxic than PvP ever was. And a PvP match is only 6min and not 1 hour...

In any PvP game you have shittalk and toxic players, but there are very simple measures to counter it. You can mute, blacklist, report to just name a few. They decided to just block all communication, and guess what all PvP players have done... they created linkshells and discords, because they still need to talk serious with each other even if the game prevents it. SE seems just not wanting to moderate the content or deal with the reports. You shouldn't talk about e-sports if you can't handle those minor pvp related issues.

Good PvP needs communication or you wont notice what you did wrong or how to improve. It actually helped to some degree, especially in the old PvP.
