    Hello means 'burst ready'.

The top players have all been using "Hello" for burst ready. Hopefully the rest of the people using it to vent frustration will revert back to "Nice job!" when frustrated.

Also, I wrote a guide on communicating without chat: https://pvpaissa.com/article/feast-b...nd-opportunity

Considering people also use it for "That was stupid, heal me, This is dumb" It's kind of hard to tell the difference between the usage. Ah well, at least I'm not joining this season either. Changes were terrible.

Ironically toxicity is the reason we can't tell the difference between burst ready and you're an idiot, considering toxicity is the reason we cant chat at all.

I've been trying to get into the habit of using this, and so far every game I've used it in someone ends up thinking it's just sarcastic. Last game our healer literally stopped playing and sat down in the middle of the arena because I was using hello to try and co-ordinate some burst with our melee.

Just add a "Burst Ready!" option, please.

Edit: On that matter, though, when is more useful to inform your melee that burst is ready as SMN? Before you DWT? or would you let the melee know as you DWT so they've got 15 seconds to get into position to line up with Deathflare / Summon / Enkindle?

Just say "Hello!" when you feel your burst is ready. Eventually, a knowledgeable melee will coordinate with you. You can "go straight into DWT" and hope the countdown occurs within the time frame it's active. You can also activate DWT when the countdown begins. IMO, do whatever you can to get a good burst in. Summon can be a problem, because Bahamut may not cast Akh Morn the moment you command it. Therefore, if you're going to have Bahamut out while waiting for the countdown, make sure Bahamut is within melee range of you. You also have the option of summoning Bahamut when the countdown begins. But if you can, leave an extra Aetherflow for Fester if your melee wants to burst again if the initial coordinated burst fails. Oh and, always have DOT's up on your intended targets, it adds to your burst damage. All-in-all, just say "Hello!" to communicate your ready to burst (in DWT or Summon... or with DWT or Summon ready, just as long as you can burst when the counter hits 1).

Question. How do I add the quick chat "Hello" to my countdown macro?

"We want bunny suits for guys!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Ishgard housing!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Viera!" -- OK! ✅
    "We want Cloud's motorcycle!" -- OK! ✅
"We want Blue Mage!"-- OK! ✅
"We want the ability to earn past Feast rewards!" - HAHA no that's sacred.

Quick chat is a macro so you can't add a macro to a another macro.

Higher level play it's definitely only assumed for burst ready. People who play often will easily be able to easily tell a difference.

    It's all about context.
