I'm not sure what definition of "casual" is being used here, but it's a comically long grind compared to Sigmascape. You can knock that off in a couple hours and you're done for the week, along with getting significant mendacity and some regular upgrades. A couple hours chaining mobs in Eureka gets you next to nothing, and if your friends outlevel you then you can't even do it with them, so you're stuck solo or trying to find random people for it.

You have to do the NMs anyway to get the good rewards and enough crystals to make it worthwhile, and you don't want to be on the far side of the map of them spawning because you'll never get across it in time. Thus the train.

And yeah, I'd contend mindlessly fighting the same trash mobs for a couple hours is boring. Some other people call it relaxing or whatever. But if all you want is mindlessly spamming a button to grind simplistic fights, iOS has a lot of options that don't cost a subscription.
