That sounds fun,Going back to the hyrstmil one and taking a reference from besieged in xi. If eorzea was a living dynamic world where things had impact. A group of players back in the day might have gone to hyrstmil to speak to Jez and do some relic only to find he's be abducted. Because the last attack on hyrstmil was a success. Now players have to go and rescue him and any other missing people in order to progress relic..
They could have even expanded on it as well by allowing crafters and gathers to repair buildings / fortify the defences. So that next time that fate popped and hyrstmil was attacked there might be more npcs to help or something. Could have made a nice alternative to levels and stuff for crafters and gatherers to level up. And it would have made the game world so much more alive and interesting
Did SE fired all XI designers? because they aren't a "modern guy"?
I am not stockholder, I am gamer
XIV1.2x didn't failed to me, every content it added, was more interesting than now,
No one complained 1.2x contents were boring, FCs are very active, unlike now
XI seems more interesting to me.
modern games= stupid and simple? like some Web games or mobile games? no, thx
of course, higher quality content requires more time to develope
but SE wants their money back asap, (and the director maybe too lazy/slow) that's the reason why XIV 1.0 failed, because it was an empty, unfinished game when it released.

xiv1.2 had 10k players
people didn't complain? i highly doubt that wasn't there so who knows the old forums could be the very first to never get people to complain.
you aren't the first to like xi better than arr you won't be the last.
1.0 was tanaka from what everyone says it was from lack of strong leadership (tanaka wanting to do one thing employees doing things differently)
in the end no matter what was the blame it happened
idk from what people want here quality isn't about how long it takes its about making monsters nearly one shot you and give you drops once every 2000 kills where the gear lasts for 5 years.

Ya ,during 1.1x-1.2x people complained the servers suck, the ui was slow, the movement control was chunky, the maps were copy & paste.xiv1.2 had 10k players

but no one complained the content was "boring", "stale" or "getting old fast," or something, they were fun,
I've joined two FCs, both of them were very active, now they are all dead,
Of course, Tanaka had some faults, even Steve Jobs had, no one is perfect,
but if you fired these guys, then, it's an ultimate fault

i never knew steve jobs nearly bankrupted his own company also once again his own company, also he stole all his work so lets at least not put tanaka in the same lane as a guy who got rich taking other peoples ideas.
some faults sure, but xiv flop wasn't small it was giant.
and once again i wasn't on the forums in 1.0 but i would say the chances that people didn't like the content was high. that's what forums are for to complain people don't normal show to praise the game but say what they don't like, the same goes for xi plenty of people went on the forums to bash the game it's just natural.

LoL, again, XIV 1.0 failed/almost bankrupted(really?) the company because it was far from finished,
and SE want to sell the product & get back their money asap,
and maybe Mr. Nobuaki Komoto was not very efficient while working.
NOT BECAUSE the contents were boring. got it?...
not because the content designs bankrupted the company
Maybe all they needed, was a guy to push them hard, to work harder/faster,
but not change the entire game direction, omg , now the game is super stale & boring... it's a real fail to me now
