Please Fix Bots!!!! in PVP. It's a Nightmare

That doesn't mean much when they effectively have no situational awareness and will pursue the first target they encounter until one or the other is dead.

Encountering a group of bots that are sync'd up can be scary initially, as they'll focus fire any players that get near them while traveling to a crystal/tower, but once they're busy attacking something more durable, they're basically free kills.

The worse thing is that they'll just feed players with the adrenaline buff kills by trying to take them 1v1 or charging into the enemy team.

Talked to a player on another server he qued for PVP rival wings yesterday let it run all day 16 hours never once it came up to enter. The bot mods must be hacking the system in DF so it keeps trying and trying till it gets in.

This is because it doesn't have 48 people to que on your datacenter. 2 years ago around this time it would take 8hrs to get frontline 24 to pop. Id que in the evening and wake up to the sound of the 30 second timer. PvP isn't that popular or quite frankly, very good. The only reason it pops out of prime time is because of bots or frontline roulette. Quite frankly, unless you like the feast arena style I wouldn't get into pvp in this game. Unless you want the achievements/mounts, but you can get those afk, as the developers have obviously encouraged since the dreaded garo event.

Has it been pointed out that the lodestone rankings have become like a wall-of-shame listing of the most prolific botters? You'd think that they're being featured on the games home page, and the fact that the botters themselves are brazen enough to not give a damn, would get SE's attention

Which datacenter ? Doesn't seem so off to me anymore like it was in the past. Bots had winrates around 10% or lower, while having a few 1k games monthly.
Winrates around 20-30% are to be expected with just mean deviation from 33%(3 grand companys after all).

Bots are mainly Aether problem by checking Frontline ranking.
Yes, Japanese do not have issue
Chaos and Primal have count about 8 to 9 and that can be easily dealt with community policing. ie Report as player harassment instead of botting will get GM's attention quicker.
It is only Aether infested with bots and quite obviously, Aether players need put a lot effeort on community policing.

I believe I just encountered this. I just finished Frontlines in DF and I'm very sure the entire team was made up of bots. The first warning sign was how everyone else was a dps and there was one tank (I was a WHM). I asked for a co-healer, so the team has a better chance at surviving and no one answered. While the match proceeded, no one got to any crystals and they just stood in one place. Members of the other teams took over our tomelith and I had to defend it, since no one on my team bothered. So I died and asked if there was someone who wasn't a bot. I got no response, not that I was expecting one. We get 3rd place and then we have people saying gg.

Clearly, those were bots, yet the gear, weapons, and mounts they used seemed like they were going through actual combat. My question is, were those characters used by actual players, but were changed to bots for pvp?

Maybe they were bots but I turn off chat during pvp as do many others.

Some bots are programmed to chat, usually a greeting in the beginning and a gg at the end. This is a relatively new feature to help convince people that they are actual players.

Generally speaking, the players that are wearing actual gear are probably botting for achievements or relic light or tomes. The people with obviously-randomized character appearances and random low level gear are bots that are most likely being levelled to sell when the character has all level 70 jobs.
