I think if they did it the other way around, a heartrending story, that the idols refuse to perform until it's resolved, followed by the lighthearted performance to close out the event, would be a good way of doing it too.I just find it incredible some people prefer the most generic idol caricatures possible to a heartrending short story about fulfilling a ghostly child's final wish so that she can finally find the peace she deserves, bookending it with giving her living family much needed closure.
I do like the rave emotes, though.
