First successful housing patch??

Balmung is a giant, active, friendly server with a very heathy RP and Raider scene.

Asking someone to give up such a massive amount of networking for the sake of a virtual house is asking some players way too much. But, both those audiences benefit directly from housing, so what can you do other than ask SE to help?

While I haven't checked every district and ward, my chosen ward in the Goblet still has quite a few plots open in the subdiv. :3

I think it was successful going by any other criteria than everyone gets a house. Yeah they're things they can still improve, But I ran around my ward welcoming all the new residents and there were a lot of happy, first time home owners.

On Excalibur I counted at least 85 houses in the goblet, helped a friend get right on the edge of the brimming heart. Glad you got your chosen ward.

It is a success because Balmung is not every other server. They have raiding, we all have housing.

Why this is so hard for people to grasp I will never understand. It's like telling someone "why don't you just move?" when they're in a bad place. For some people, housing is going to be more important to them, and they'll leave. For others, housing is still important to them, but juuusssst underneath the friendships they've established on Balmung, and so they choose to stay.

Yeah, I also don't understand why people still think Balmung need special treatment so the population disparity can be increased further. No one ask you to abandon your legacy there, but don't come to forum with entitled mindset and cry out loud. It is your choice and like any other choice, it always has pros and cons. Deals with it.

We had a wonderful housing experience this patch!
Everyone who wanted a personal house in our small FC got a personal house or relocated to their dream spot.
Many of them are first time homebuyers and were super happy when they got a place of their own.
Our FC members helped each other by giving gils and furniture to these happy new owners.
Someone in the FC is planning to get married in game in 2 weeks. This small house is a God sent gift!
I think the random timer and 1FC/1 personal house per service account rule really worked out like magic.
Although it doesn’t completely solve the problem, at least it is a good start.
It stopped a big portion of the flippers.

In our maxed out LS of 128 people, most feedbacks are positive.
