First successful housing patch??

All the servers have the same amount of houses. Why should SE create more houses for overpopulated servers when there are wards that are ghost towns on other servers? Overpopulation and underpopulation are equally problematic, and SE is doing the right thing in trying to balance populations. Adding more housing to overpopulated servers is counterproductive to that goal. They're trying to give players a reason to transfer from the overpopulated servers, not an incentive to stay, or moreso have new people come to the server. If people choose to stay, they choose to stay, but it makes no sense for SE to add extra housing to overpopulated servers when other servers have literally hundreds of open plots in some cases.

From what I hear they cannot just add more wards to one server alone the way it is coded they would have to increase ALL server wards to the amount they change on balmung. Then that creates a problem of low populated servers with all large houses being taken with the rest of the ward being empty.

You were never promised a house.... just the equal chance to get one as everyone else has... the chance on balmung is currently 0... but it's fair because everyone on balmung has the exact same chances to get a house... it's not SEs fault the community caused a problem the same community refuses to address themselves... you choose a high population server and you get the pros and cons that accompany it... every server has its costs and benefits... is the community on balmung worth not getting a house? Is getting a house worth moving to a smaller community?

Almost too successful on some servers. Still have like 16 available plots in my subdivision in The Mist. I want some more neighbors.

I kinda wonder if SE is considering an Odin Slash on Balmung. Maybe they opened it up to see what the demand is like, and if there'd be enough population for two servers...

I got my house with no problems this time around. There were only 4 left though so I got lucky. It's a small in Shirogane near the beach and MB. I love it but I need a medium at best.

Thats what I'm saving for. So I can relocate when new wards become available next time. Considering I'm down to 500k Gil after being at 9 million, its going to take a while. Lol. Been finally leveling my crafting job and its expensive... Especially 45-50. Even with the ability to gather my own mats, so much is required from other jobs.

Who here transferred back to Balmung and is demanding a plot? The person I was responding to claimed that if SE offered free transfers off of Balmung, very few people would take it because of Balmung's "culture of entitlement." This isn't true. We know it's not true because a lot of people left when the transfers off were free.

I guess you've missed a lot within the past week and half when Balmung gates were opened. My mistake that you were checking this forum too often and haven't checked other discussions in game and other social chats.

I suppose you are just referring that accusation by staring at my profile and looking at which realm I reside in or just completely high because you have not read any of my previous posts and think I am one of Balmungians who are upset they can't have a plot in a congested server.

Aldotsk, I don't hang out in Rhalgr's Reach or Ul'dah all the time, but from what I've seen in game, I haven't seen an overwhelming amount of people come back to Balmung and then act surprised or mad that they couldn't get a plot specifically. I've seen a lot of people come back, but not that specific situation. Or maybe I've just been too busy actually playing the game along with living my life to see it, I don't know, but it's a weird thing to refer to within the context of this conversation.
