Close minded? No. It's called having almost 40 years of experience in gaming and story telling, and real life thrown in for good measures. Short of a massive world-wide tempering, what you are advocating cannot happen without completely breaking the consistency of the world we've gotten for almost 500 quests...

And you think we've met everyone and anyone who's worth meeting on the entire continent and nothing goes on we are not privy to? Alright.
You can wave your gametime and "experience" around all you like, but saying that something cannot be done because you haven't seen the possibility isn't very open minded.
I'm not here to argue or compare who's is bigger. I have no idea who you are, whether you're lying or not or how you like to enjoy a story. I'm not here to pick fights.

I think the idea is worth developing, and if you don't , you really don't have to read anymore. I'm certainly not on the writing team.

Many things were left out of that. Many people just buy the story line skip potion and never see it. We have under gone many, many other trials since then. There is a reason why i and so many challenge this train of thought. It falls flat, makes no sense and is a false, unneeded edge to our character. You are playing the game, full knowing what you as the character is, and what it is you are doing and why you do it. What those asking are asking for, the question of what if people saw you in a negative light has already been addressed. If you skipped it that's no fault of the content writers.

Just because we're exploring other possibilities doesn't mean we're discrediting anything that has been done. It's an open book to which the end will likely never be written.

Who said I skipped anything. I've been there since 1.0 and continue to enjoy the story as it unfolds.

It's a little distressing that people have such strong reactions to someone exploring storylines.

Just because you've explored one aspect of a story doesn't mean that can never come into play again.
I don't get why creative meandering needs to be "challenged". Stop reading it if it bothers you.
