It sucks but i'd imagine its very hard to simply "do something" about it, you yourself didn't volunteer any ideas. At best we gotta hope the dev team is more conscious about handing out utility abilities to all classes that support the team, and hope for the best that next expac sam will get something to make it wanted in the meta.
In the meantime try looking for some good friends that aren't so concerned with perfect optimization, run raids with em, be social, don't just wait for the devs to buff your classes.
